I feel dirty doing this to a game about peaceful space exploration. Here's the previous one for those who haven't seen it:
That ending sequence was amazing, the Mun explosion was really well done.
great job on the videos! makes me want a game which uses somewhat similar mechanics to KSP and is about war. :v:
How? Like, no. How?
This makes me want multiplayer war scenarios in KSP.
Holy shit that's amazing.
how is any of this shit possible in KSP? I didn't know about any of this shit
What was that alert siren sound effect from? It's bothering the hell out of me now because I can't place it.
What was that alert siren sound effect from? It's bothering the hell out of me now because I can't place it.
It's in Crysis, I can tell you that much.
What was that alert siren sound effect from? (In the start of the game on the plaza you also have one of these cams which closes its door when you approach.)
great job on the videos! makes me want a game which uses somewhat similar mechanics to KSP and is about war. :v:
A mmo sandbox game where you build your own war machines, KSP style. Holy Shit.
Supreme Commander vibes are coming from this.
It's in Crysis, I can tell you that much.
I think it was the sound when the silo doors are closing in HL2:EP2 when you're fighting the combine in the silo.
What was that alert siren sound effect from? It's bothering the hell out of me now because I can't place it.
Also sounded like the MW2 nuke sound
What was that alert siren sound effect from? It's bothering the hell out of me now because I can't place it.
White Forest Alarm Sound from HL2: EP2
KSPs come a long way since I last played it...
I thought the entire game was making 1 shuttle rocket and seeing if it can launch, this looks advanced to say the least.
A mmo sandbox game where you build your own war machines, KSP style. Holy Shit.
Imagine an MMO-scale Spacebuild server, with props and toolgun objects(thrusters, etc) requiring money and resources to build and with 2 or 3 factions of hundreds of players each fighting over the huge map, building bases on the planets and launching spaceships which can be either custom-made by players or be mass-produced identical ones built in factories that require a constant stream of mined minerals from asteroids that float around and can be pushed at planets via attaching thrusters to them... Someone should make a game like that,or atleast a gamemode for Gmod or something that gets sufficient amounts of players on one server.
Oh my GOD! Did you ever play a game caled Echelon, Squeegy? The VTOL thing at 0:40 reminds me so much of the "lightning" aircraft I wish I knew how to do even half the shit I've seen in 40 seconds [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] hnnnnnnnnnnnngh [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] It looks like a cross between Supreme Commander or Total Annihilation, and Gmod ACF or Gcombat. I take it it's all done offline though? [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] I'm gonna have to go have a wank over this now [editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
great job on the videos! makes me want a game which uses somewhat similar mechanics to KSP and is about war. :v:
I hope they add MP. Just fucking somehow. This is what i wish Gmod's spacebuild with gcombat and shit were like. I struggle to design simple spaceplanes that don't have weight imbalance issues, and here's a video of all this shit that'd take ages to design. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] I can see it now, a giant carrier full of player controlled fighters and bombers hovers over a planet dropping all these aircraft into its atmosphere, with player build and designed AA turrets, SAM launchers and stuff try blasting them out the sky, while halfway across the solar system, there's a pair of player controlled cruisers duking it out with a set of fighters each, all this while the guys on the home planets are designing and producing new spacecraft and aircraft to go destroy the enemy. There could be Empires or Natural Selection style Resource Points that have to have an extractor deployed on it, which excavates raw materials that get shipped back to any planet with a refinery. A lot of it could be done by AI, but imagine this shit on the scale of EvE or Planetside, like I said it's what I wish spacebuild was like. The lag would be tremendous though. If there were some easy way around that, it'd be workable as a large scale persistent MMO. Again borrowing from Natural Selection, C&C Renegade and other games, there'd be team resources and individual resources - team would be used to mass produce whatever vehicles the commander(s) wanted, while individual resources can be used for your own designs. On player spawns, any unmanned vehicle could act as them, so if the guys in carriers or dropships are near enemy bases they can have something like NS2's ping feature, "SPAWN HERE", the vehicles in cargo would be manned and then they'd get into range of the enemy. I'm not gonna write out a whole idea for something that I don't have much hope of seeing any times soon, but I want something like it that much. It'd be a more player-involved, direct control version of EvE. The weapons and shit would really need balancing though, some of that stuff looked leathal. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Fuck it, I'm gonna waffle on some more, in the case of commanders there'd be multiple per team, able to give orders to players from a player list, or do it RTS-style, designate groups, decide what to build, and where to send it. TL;DR, Supreme Commander, crossed with Planetside 2, crossed with KSP. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] Crossed with Freespace 2 and Homeworld (2)
I thought the entire game was making 1 shuttle rocket and seeing if it can launch, this looks advanced to say the least.
you can make satellites, moon landers, starfighters, jets that can fly into space, moon tanks, moon cars, VTOLs they put in a bunch of planets that you can land on and explore (they're empty though, but still, it's fucking Mars)
I feel dirty doing this to a game about peaceful space exploration.
Simply amazing
I hear mechwarrior 3 missile locks. The LRMs dog. Those LRMs
That was amazing. I've never played KSP, had no idea there was such a range of different vehicles you could make, I just thought it was about getting a shuttle into orbit. I know I'm a few years late saying this but it made me so happy when you made a video using my warmelons. You are seriously awesome at choreographing these battles.
Did you actually explode the Mun, or was that done in another program?
Thats awesome
That was actually incredible!

Combined with the shrink mod and the with the target designator used on players you could join the battle and run about in your tiny foot high bunkers made from cardboard boxes. Shit was awesome. Any thoughts on reviving it? [editline]2nd August 2013[/editline]
Did you ever play a game caled Echelon, Squeegy? Squeeks, is it possible to save with a plane in mid-air in 0.21?
Squeeks, is it possible to save with a plane in mid-air in 0.21?
Unless you've found some exploit/workaround, no. As far as I know it wasn't possible in 0.19 either, and that's what this was made in.
KSP should have this in some kind of Coop battle mode in which you can build your own and battle against your friends.
