Looks interesting but I don't see how having "the purge" can help lowering the crime rate in any way
Looks pretty good, pretty unique concept.
That seems quite a flaw in your super duper mansion if your security turns off when the power goes out and not to have a backup.
That is absolutely utterly fucking terrifying. I'd probably go on vacation that entire week in another country. Or construct a spider-hole/secret crawl space/safe room and hide in it, heavily sedated for the whole night.
Gm_Onslaught the movie.
That's an awesome idea for a movie, up until the home invasion jumpy scary movie thing.
Wow just when I thought they ran out of ideas for movies.
It's a pretty decent idea until it devolves to people in masks sitting on swings and waving knives about.
Ugh, a concept like "We are your government and thought it was cool to let the entire country murder, raid and rape like a bunch if vikings for a day" does not really work well in storytelling if you try to use it as a straight forward plot device. It's best used in associative storytelling but here it's just cranking up a culturally rooted fear to a ridiculous level. It's such a ridiculously blunt and clumsy approach but I guess it works for cheap thrills? Not my kind of movie but I can see how you might enjoy this
Interesting concept, how no one has done this before?
Almost seems very loosely inspired by Death Race 2000, though more in a sense that destruction and carnage are legal for an organized public event. It's also about as logical as Death Race 2000 but whatever its a movie.
Aawesome idea for a movie. Hopefully they explore the purge thing more than the whole home invasion slasher part.
Aawesome idea for a movie. Hopefully they explore the purge thing more than the whole home invasion slasher part.
It'll probably end up being the home invasion slasher part and annoy me as much as The Strangers does. The whole purge idea could have been awesome.
Its not that hard to suspend your disbelief, is it?
Even a person like me,who watches a lot of plots with stupid concepts have a hard time suspending my disbelief at this.
Cool idea but looks like it's ruined by focusing on the stupid slasher movie thing (personally I have no interest in slasher movies what so ever)
