With the type of breathless astonishment usually reserved for miracles and alien sightings, local news channels across the country decided to report on the Major League Gaming tournaments in Dallas last weekend with the best angle possible: HOLY SHIT DID YOU KNOW THAT GIRLS PLAY VIDEO GAMES NOW? Kotaku video editor Chris Person has put together a super-cut of the footage. You can watch it in all of its glory above. For the love of the game. Note that these reports were all filmed in 2013, as opposed to, say, 1996.
The video is available at the link
I like how all of these stations are reading the same script.
hearing the same regurgitated shit spat out exactly the same by multiple local news stations around the country is just disgusting like those clips from Conan
Death penalty to whoever let them in Vid in a nutshell: "gamer ranks" "gamer ranks" "gamer ranks" "gamer ranks" "gamer ranks"
In other news, The sun is a giant ball of fire, and not a cruel god whom of which we sacrifice for him to keep happy.
The tournaments probably sent the news channels a press package with a pre-written script; this happens all the time.
In other news, The sun is a giant ball of fire, and not a cruel god whom of which we sacrifice for him to keep happy.
Are you making fun of my religion.
videogames have nothing to do with "love" or "fun" scrubs
Wait girls play video games? That's very shocking news there Kotaku :v: (I'm obviously being sarcastic about it being shocking).
Clearly fabricated. Nice try.
The love of the game, eh? The only game I love is the pussy game.
In other news, The sun is a giant ball of fire, and not a cruel god whom of which we sacrifice for him to keep happy.
Wait... you mean you don't... PRAISE THE SUN?!
In other news, The sun is a giant ball of fire, and not a cruel god whom of which we sacrifice for him to keep happy.
Technically the sun is not a ball of fire. It is actually a massive cluster of elements. In our sun, it's a combination of mostly Hydrogen and Helium. However, hydrogen atoms in our sun are fusing together to form helium. This process releases energy in the form of mainly heat and light. Eventually, when the temperature gets high enough, the helium atoms will start fusing together to form different atoms and this process will continue until the density of the sun becomes so great, that it implodes, releasing many different elements throughout the solar system.
Don't hit on me you silly news anchors.
I hate the word gamer, well, at least dislike it, when the news uses it what I really hate is anyone that says "Hardcore gamer"... could you be any more fucking lame. There's nothing "Hardcore" about gaming. There is competitive gaming obviously but holy fuck.
"more girls are joining the gamer ranks" fuck. "more girls are joining the gamer ranks" stop it. "more girls are joining the gamer ranks" GOD DAMMIT
I love the snippet at the end. She just HAD to throw her opinion out there
what the fuck is a "gamer rank"
Are you making fun of my religion.
War on Sun Day.
"Too many violent games" Cause there's not too many violent movies right? Right?
"Too many violent games" Cause there's not too many violent movies right? Right?
Actually movies have been getting less violent over the years. Compare action flicks from the 80s-90s to now and its a lot less violent.
Actually movies have been getting less violent over the years. Compare action flicks from the 80s-90s to now and its a lot less violent.
With some examples: Compare the first scenes of Robo-Cop, where Murphy gets killed, with pretty much any action film today. Coincidentally, I learned earlier today that one of my friends started playing Blacklight: Retribution a few days ago. The amount of respect I have for her for even attempting to play that game on this absolutely abysmal uni Internet is immeasurable. :v:
Actually movies have been getting less violent over the years.
So I'm presuming you haven't seen Django or Human Centipede then?
I like how all of these stations are reading the same script.

I like how all of these stations are reading the same script.
They do.
So I'm presuming you haven't seen Django or Human Centipede then?
In general, they produce action movies nowadays with less gore so they can slap a younger rating on it to get more money.
what the fuck is a "gamer rank"
