Labeda Millennium Grippers are great wheels and I think they're pretty cheap.
but I don't know how well any wheels work on a wood rink.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard that Labeda wheels tend to work pretty well but they are soft, thus lowering your top speed, increasing the energy needed to skate, and have tendency to split easily. I'll check these out though... Anyone else have any suggestions?
You play Roller Hockey? Awesome.
Well I used to use the old red Mission Hyper Pro150 wheels before Mission discontinued them. And they were soft but hard at the same time and I used them on asphalt which lasted about half a year. If you can find them then those wheels would probably work great for you. And if I remember their hardness was 83a.
So where do you play your roller hockey? I play in San Jose at the Silver Creek Sportsplex and considering playing in NARCh and in AAU next year for Mission Rampage.

And I would also suggesting going to modsquadhockey.com for this type of question as that hockey community is VERY helpful.
Nice! I play in Walnut Grove (British Columbia) at the Sportsplex. I currently play Bantam and by next Spring Season I'll be playing in the adult league.

Thanks, but I'm looking for more on an indoor wheel. Outdoor wheels, (at least for me,) tend to be much harder and slicker. Although they are much cheaper than other wheels, so I might have to try them. One last question though, is there any difference between Mission's Hornet wheels and their Rink Rat wheels?
Go to a nearby pro shop and ask them.

At the one near me, the guys who worked there admitted they didn't know.

That's pretty sad. :v:

well the rink rats use this "technology" where the bottom of the wheel is hard for faster forward skating and the sides are soft for turning.
It's really just a load of bullshit cause i've had a few sets of them and they really don't make a huge difference.
