Up to 80% off Deadly Premonition, Hotline Miami, Jazzpunk, and more! Video games can be so weird sometimes, you know? Talking animals are standing at every corner, inventories defy space limitations, and gravity has little authority in there. Thus, it takes a special brand of surrealism to astound players, yet some games manage to pull it off in spectacular, mind-boggling fashion. Sure, you can proclaim The Voices Made Me Play It! if you want, but we both know that you thoroughly enjoyed it. And how couldn't you, when these Weekly Staff Pick include some of the most brilliantly offbeat games out there, with intoxicating discounts sprinkled on top. Are you sure you wish to call Hotline Miami? There is unapologetic brutality, ruthless top-down combat, and satisfying bloodshed waiting for you on the other end. Exactly what you were looking for, you say? Well then, get in there and spread some mayhem. We'll just lock the door from the outside, if that's alright. Do you also sometimes have a Deadly Premonition that you'll get hacked in half by a raincoat-wearing psycho when you go around asking questions about a beautiful girl's death? Or is detective York just imagining things? There's definitely something odd going on in this cult action/adventure but you must get your brain to squint if you are to piece the mystery together. Take the blue pill and it will be just another day in the office. Take the red pill and everybody will think of you as aJazzpunk: secret agent man, champion of bizarre mini-games, and appreciator of psychedelic art - a model employee. As long as you don't skip on that prescription your boss gave you. Follow our Weekly Staff Pick down the rabbit hole and feel free to admit The Voices Made Me Play It. Some of those enigmatic whispers belong to Psychonauts, Dropsy, Dyad, or Revolver360 Re:Actor and will lead you to extraordinary places. Definitely a lot better than spending a wild night with a giant fish by the sewers, anyway. The promo will last until February 19, 10:59 AM GMT.
http://www.gog.com/news/weekly_staff_pick_the_voices_made_me_play_it Promo Page: http://www.gog.com/promo/weekly_staff_pick_the_voices_made_me_play_it_150216 Games I Recommend To Get: -Psychonauts -Hotline Miami series -Dropsy -Jazzpunk -Deadly Premonition
Dropsy is actually pretty good, even if it's a tad short.
Not sure about GoG's version of it, but Deadly Premonition is usually a Hell to get running on PC. The rest they've got to offer is pretty solid.
Dropsy is actually pretty good, even if it's a tad short.
seconding dropsy. check it out folks.
Isn't Jazzpunk kind of a gimmick game? Wish it would get a proper big discount.

Just used DPfix and tweaked one of the files and had it running in proper 1080p. Just save often if you're that worried.
seconding dropsy. check it out folks.
I actually kinda like the soundtrack too.
Isn't Jazzpunk kind of a gimmick game? Hotline Miami is cool, I'd recommend getting it and it's sequel.
Deadly Premonition is a must have just like watching Twin Peaks is a must. Since DP is a loveletter to TP.
Isn't Jazzpunk kind of a gimmick game? Dropsy is a wonderful game that is so refreshingly sincere, it is a beautiful game.
Hotline Miami is cool, I'd recommend getting it and it's sequel.
The first one is a blast, but the second one is incredibly frustrating with really shoddy level design in parts. The first game is much more melee weapon focused with tight areas where you can ramp up combos using the extremely satisfying melee weapons. The second game has a lot of really large, open areas, where you're basically forced to use guns (which aren't as fun as the melee weapons), and you will very frequently get shot by enemies off-screen. It's not a bad game, but it can be incredibly frustrating, especially compared to the first. The soundtracks for both games are incredible, though.
Deadly Premonition is a must have just like watching Twin Peaks is a must. Since DP is a loveletter to TP.
Swery said countless times that he absolutely never watched or heard of twin peaks before. Pinkie swear :v:
Well I am really interested in Dropsy now. It seems that I need to buy Dropsy + Dropsy: Warm Damp Hug to get the actual Warm Damp Hug -edition, am I correct? And it's just a DRM-free install, no Steam-keys or their own platform or anything?

You can just buy the game, download the installer and do whatever the heck you want like...burn it on disk or even copy it to your external HDD. Galaxy client is there if ya want to have achievement, game tracking, auto updating, crossplay and rollback feature. Other than that, as i said, it's optional. Games that require Galaxy for multiplayer, have a micro version of Galaxy which only has login and update check (Alien vs Predator has that)

I got annoyed pretty quickly when i tried to replace the videos with their originals and it kept downloading the ones that kept coming with GoG. Managed to get around it just by creating a shortcut of the exe from the games folder.
For ya'll that love mechanically simple games with heart-warming feel-trips and amazing soundtracks- There's still time to pickup Dropsy for a couple dollars. Be sure to bring a bit of patience, it's a point and click adventure game afterall.
