It seems Bill is getting more aggressive with this type of stuff every year, I love it.
Just $10,000? The dude he's betting with probably makes 10x that from these conferences he speaks at.
This year my city actually had winter start in December instead of October for a change, and we actually had spring start in the actual spring. Not that hard for me to believe that this year could be the hottest.

He will probably look bad unless he shares the amount of money he gets at the conferences, which would also hurt.

He can say he "doesn't care" and reject it, but would get a shit ton of flak for not believing in his own statements enough to take it head on. If he does take it, he'll have to man up to the bet if he loses and that'd shake up the people who are paying him out to deny what's happening
destroyed
Ever since bill retired he's gone around owning all the noobs
wait is this a response to Sarah Palin ?
wait is this a response to Sarah Palin ?
yes sarah palin the well known bodybuilder and meteorologist
The one thing I hate that Bill said is that climate change is a large factor contributing to the rise of ISIS. It's true, but its such a non issue that it didn't need to be put forth as a major factor.

No it's not, the only thing it's going to do is set up the next generation to be obedient worker-bees for the Megacorps. ...Also, how the hell is climate change and ISIS linked? That's some fringe shit.
man i thought the MLG montage meme was dead already
man i thought the MLG montage meme was dead already
The video in OP is 2 years old
...Also, how the hell is climate change and ISIS linked? That's some fringe shit.
Several ways, none direct. This is hardly a fringe theory, BTW - global warming is generally considered a contributing factor to ISIS. They are linked first by common cause: Arabian oil. Burning fossil fuels is what's ultimately causing global warming, and a lot of them are Arabian oil. And the existence of Sunni Islamic extremism is directly the result of the Saudis using it, first to control their own population, then to fight proxy wars - and they would not have been able to stay in power without oil money. More directly, it is known that most of al-Qaeda's funding came from Saudi Arabia (possibly but not definitively from their government), and it is strongly suspected that the same is true of ISIS (formerly a branch of al-Qaeda). They are also linked by cause-and-effect. Global warming is already causing famine in North Africa and the Levant, which are major sources of ISIS (or affiliated groups) supporters. Agricultural failures were one of the reason's behind Syria's economic crisis, which in turn precipitated the revolution, which in turn gave ISIS a lot of local support and power. Now, there were clearly other, more significant factors behind ISIS, primarily the post-9/11 wars. But if you buy into the theory that the Second Gulf War was about oil, that would still make it even more related. Even if you don't, and think it was mainly a continuation of the First Gulf War... that war was about oil as well, namely Hussein wanting all of Kuwait's oil fields. So it's common cause there either way.
It's pretty infuriating that people have power and refuse to believe climate change is happening. Greenland has started melting 2 months earlier than it's meant too, we all gon be fucked
