Carlin's performance in the US dubs is probably one of the earliest voices I remember. It may seem like a quaint and silly novelty now, but this Mr. Conductor was the one that kicked off my life, in a way. The gentle, soft-spoken tone that I recognize now as a juxtaposition, captivated my little heart so much as a kid.
Even though I know him for infinitely more things now, I'll always remember him for this.

I also read somewhere that he took a lot of care and seriousness in his role. It was something he really committed to, despite his famously abrasive performance style. Which, in my eyes, makes it so much more special
I was on vacation when he died, and knew nothing of his stand up as a kid. So when I read that he died in the newspaper and then saw HBO was going to marathon his routines, and our hotel had the channels, I watched them. That was when I learned the truth about Mr. Conductor.
Time to save this into my bookmarks. I hope it's still funny in 6 years when I turn 18.
Does anyone know how to overturn a VAC ban I got in Rust?
I was so fucking confused for a second because this sounded too perfect to be a stitched together assembly of various clips. I actually had no idea Carlin actually did the narrator voice back then. The more you know, I suppose.
