I love that every-time I visit Disney World the place gets even more advanced technology than before, and Pandora from what I have seen is incredible. Now all they need to do is fix the dang disco yeti.
Did I miss something? Since when did Disney get an attraction from Avatar?

This year ( May 27th ), it replaced a meet and greet area which was supposedly a placeholder for something bigger, but fell through.

I'm more wondering how they got the license to do it. I haven't seen Avatar in awhile, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a Disney movie.

I imagine it's similar to how they got the license to Star Wars ( Pre-LucasArts Purchase ). They talk to the creator and their
company and create a deal of sorts to license the right to use their likeness in the park.
