Dark Souls 2 has sold pretty well actually. About 980.000 units according to http://steamspy.com/app/236430 . I wonder why they wouldnt do a PC version
It probably means the date is negotiable aka it gets done when the consoles versions are released like the previous installments.

Around 100 new weapons? Ugh, I hope that they'll be a lot less when the game releases One thing I didn't like with Dark Souls 2 was that it had far too many weapons to the point that most of them were easily forgettable & pretty bland, it felt like they were going for quantity over quality. Whereas the weapons in Dark Souls 1 had a lot of personality because they were more sparse so that their qualities feel much more unique
wow there's a lot of screenshots and info that seems real. It looks like dark souls 3 ; this is awesome. The sword arts special abilities sound cool
pc negotiable? What the fuck?
I'm just shocked as you are
I'm pretty sure Miyazaki is producing this game too
I'm not too worried about PC being negotiable. The games have sold pretty well on PC.
I'm pretty sure Miyazaki is producing this game too
Source?
This better come to PC around launch for consoles
Im praying for a good PC version
Im praying for a good PC version
Dark Souls 2 was a decent port, I'm sure it'll be fine and not another Dark souls 1 case.
these are the same guy's who said Silent Hill's are coming XBOXONe
I can imagine in the future that fake leaks are created in a modeling engine like maya, renderman, or blender, then uploaded to unreal or gamebryo.
I can imagine in the future that fake leaks are created in a modeling engine like maya, renderman, or blender, then uploaded to unreal or gamebryo.
Renderman is a rendering pipeline that has nothing to do with modelling, and it tends to be hard to properly emulate in-house engines due to all the different shaders used/general style of the artists.
i can't decide on whether or not i want these to be real
If this does get confirmed at this year's E3 I at least hope the release date is a little later down the road. I'm afraid that if the Souls franchise starts becoming a yearly thing people will get burnt out of the formula since the games aren't getting that much longevity between them. Souls based games are my favorite so I would hate to see that happen. Guess we'll have to see though.

Sorry I just never played much of DS2 for all sorts of reasons that aren't 'too many weapons'
As much as I love Dark Souls I'd like From to take a break and do other game/s (read: Armored Core VI) since they're kinda churning out these games exclusively.
60 minutes of cutscenes is what worries me the most, something tells me this is going to be even worse than DS2
I love the Souls series, but I'm starting to feel some fatigue. If this comes out next year, we'll have annualized Souls-like games for three years (DSII in 2014, Bloodborne in 2015, this game in 2016).

This one sounds like a huge step in the right direction when it comes to evolving the series. I'd love to see the Bloodborne/Demon's Souls sequel use some of these mechanics as well.
these are the same guy's who said Silent Hill's are coming XBOXONe
To be fair, that comes from their recently acquired subdivision, Funhaus, who got that information from their own trusted (anonymous) source (who I believe predicted the kinect being sold separately from the xb1 with a price drop, though I do believe there were other "proven" lines). This rumor comes from another source entirely, though I still can't say I trust it fully either. We'll see at E3, I suppose- From Software implied they wanted to make this an annual series, and if so we'll see this supposed leak thrive or die.
I guess we'll see at e3 but man these changes sound weird. Would this be B team as well? Dont like what a creatable bonfire could mean for the level design.
I hope the rumors of there being lots of armors and weapons are true. it's one of the things that really annoyed me about Bloodborne, the lack of equipment variety that DS1 and DS2 had. whenever I summoned or was summoned in Bloodborne, you'd always see people wearing and using the same stuff which wasn't too fun.

Bloodborne did lack equipment, badly, but at least it wasn't inflated with useless weapons/armor either.
if there's too many weapons movesets are gonna start running together which is one of dark souls 2's more glaring issues
I don't see why more weapons would be bad. What's useless for you is a fun handicap/challenge to someone else.
if there's too many weapons movesets are gonna start running together which is one of dark souls 2's more glaring issues
Is it possible they could port some animations from ds1? A lot of those were beautiful.
it means less focus on a smaller set of weapons, meaning more balance issues, less interesting movesets, etc
I'd love to see the Bloodborne concept make it into all future games but expand on the idea. Do like 20-30 trick weapons that are all extremely unique but cover the archetypes that players expect, and people will be very happy. There's no reason to have thirty shortswords, ten katanas and twenty greatswords that do the same exact thing as the other variants.
