Still no next-gen shirtless Ratchet, Qwark out of 10.

I thought I'd tag this one instead of the original upload because of the thumbnail.
it looks great and all, and i love ratchet and clank
but
i think this franchise has gotten quite stale; from the video, it seems like the gameplay, the mechanics, everything is just same, it's like i've already played it
and it's fun, but it gets old
I thought I was just getting kinda old.
The biggest disappointment about this game is that it's supposed to be a reimagining of the original, yet they're still using the weapons from the Future series, which I'm getting really sick of.

I just hope it'll rehash what made the old R&C's great. Plus with a multiplayer system similar to Up Your Arsenal on PS4 would be really cool imo.
Genuinely excited about this game. Although if I'm honest I do feel like they've started to run out of ideas for weapons. They for the most part seem to be reconfigured weapons from past games at this point.
why does he look like a deviant artists furry drawing?
i remember ratchet looking fucking ugly and being a sarcastic as fuck dude-bro
those two things were literally the introduction to nearly everyone liking the game
Remake up your arsenal so I can see Courtney Gears in updated graphics

what the fuck is wrong with me, I didn't used to be like this
It's okay Dr.C

In his defense, I'm pretty sure Ratchet was around before the modern day "furry" was ever even a thing. So in this case I like his revamp.
Honestly I won't be satisfied until I can see every individual hair fiber on his head.
Plus, we've barely seen anything in the game in terms of dialogue. For all we know, he could still be the same smart-mouth sarcastic asshole lombax we've all come to love.

I think all the people in animal suits were mascots at the time of the first game.
I'm really amazed by the graphics. It looks like a CG movie Pixar or Dreamworks would make.
I know it's just the first level but the game looks really easy with the modern 3rd person shooter movement style instead of the default shooting and movement style from the first 3 games. I remember dying a lot in these games but I can't remember if it's just because I was a stupid kid or because I fell a lot
jesus christ this looks amazing
wish my ps4 didn't get stolen now. fuck.
I'm sure you two know that furries have been around for ages, even the modern type. But in the end, it's really just a synonym for an anthro character, or a fan of them.
And by the way, they seem to be using clips from the movie as cutscenes here.

I genuinely thought these games were difficult as a kid. Maybe its just my kid abilities with video games but I'm fairly certain each game had its fair share of difficult platforming/boss battles.
Quite possibly it could have all been because of that Skid McMarx fucker. Damn those hoverboard levels.
I'm not entirely wild about this reimagining of the first game. I know it's probably nostalgia and all, but even when the movie trailer came out I noticed that rachet seemed a bit more... timid? Back when the first came out he'd been on his own for as long as he could remember and was simply using clank to get off the planet because he had the component Rachet needed for his ship. He wasn't a hero until the end of the game... now he just wants to be a hero as his defining character trait.
It feels really weird seeing ratchet have the swingshot right from the start.
So I'm guessing the actual story of this is Captain Quark being the narrator and that's why it's slightly different from the original Ratchet and Clank? That's actually a not bad idea for a remake to explain why they changed the story slightly.
So I love Ratchet and Clank, I love the look of this too. But more than that I love the idea that a new generation are going to grow up playing games like Ratchet and Clank just like I did, I wish there were re-imaginings of Spyro and Crash and stuff as well. It's easy to say this isn't as good as the originals because it's not what you grew up with, but remember these don't delete the originals, they don't make them invalid or obsolete; Halo 4 might have been pants but 1, 2, 3 and Reach still exist.
I was kinda hoping we'd get a revamped up your arsenal style weapon list, i loved some of them so much and they really need to add some more new weps.
Am I the only one who still can't get over the fact that R&C games are no longer at 60fps?
The gameplay trailer just lacks the smoothness of the PS2 and early PS3 games.
I like the look of it, but they're really going to miss out on a lot of things by reinventing that whole first game.
That game is like one of the few avenues I have to actual genuine nostalgia, I want an honest and fairly truthful remake to it.

I happened to get the off chance to play the game, outside of the controls being wonk as fuuuuck, the most jarring thing was that the Framerate ate utter shite constantly, it was completely unstable, I get that it was an early version but my god.
