One of the most demanded franchises is actually coming to Wii U, but promises to be a rather different take on the series. As part of Shigeru Miyamoto's brief to focus on the GamePad, this title will utilise the motion controls and physical inputs to control the ship — it's a spaceship shooter, with motion used for aiming and sticks used for controlling speed and moves such as barrel rolls. You can transform your Arwing into a Land Tank, while a Helicopter mode for two players that will include controlling both the chopper and a mini robot.
Source: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/06/e3_2014_shigeru_miyamoto_confirms_star_fox_for_wii_u http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-06-10-star-fox-headed-to-wii-u-report
nintendo wins e3 they haven't even shown their digital stream and they win
Holy shat, rebooted Stair Fax and (hopefully) a new Link game this E3. If they are putting out this Christmas Season Smash, a new Zelda (I want a canon game, but i'll settle for Hyrule Warriors), and Star Fox U I will be holding out on buying the PS4.
GET FUCKING HYPE RAISE YOUR WINGS
A new Mario Kart game, a new Star Fox game, a new Zelda game, what's next? A new Metroid Game? Back to the roots for Nintendo it seems, which is fuckin great! [sp]DO A BARREL ROLL![/sp]
All we need now is F-Zero U.
welp time to start saving up for a wii u then
Star Fox? I think I might get a Wii U now.
Oh man, I can't wait to hear the glorious AI scream "Fox, get this guy off me!"
How about something new? Tomodachi Life is a really neat thing for them to do, but I don't care about more "muh childhood"-pandering. [editline]10th June 2014[/editline] Ooooooh. A pretty version of the game I've already played! Time to spend $300 to chase after my youth memories!!
I wanna see JonTrons reaction
I wanna see JonTrons reaction
Probably his OH MY GOD is probably his answer.
All we need now is F-Zero U.
And Metroid! Let's not forget Metroid!
no fun allowed
Yep. I hate fun. Just haaaate the stuff! Sorry if its a bummer to hear about or w/e it might be to you, but Nintendo doing only what Nintendo has done for the past 30 years is highly uninteresting.

It's a brand new addition to the series.

First up is Project Giant Robot, which will star giant skyscraper-sized robots. You control the game by angling the Wii U GamePad to manoeuvre your automaton's body, then using the control sticks to jab and punch. Your GamePad shows a first-person view from your robot, while the TV shows a zoomed-out look at the battle in progress. Then there's Project Guard, a tower defense game set around the map of a fortress. You tap the GamePad screen to switch between armed security cameras to blast enemies trying to invade.
Why would they stop doing what fans want to see from them?

Don't even pretend they are milking the serie à la COD.
This new game isn't a remake though. It's a brand new addition to the series.
I doubt it will be much different. I would love to be wrong, but I doubt this will push boundaries or anything for a Starfox game.

Nintendo actually does change up their games and saying otherwise shows that you clearly don't get that, even if it is small it is nice variety compared to other companies. Plus, why get rid of popular IPs when they are bringing in money and people still find them enjoyable?
Last console Star Fox was released in 2005. I'm not complaining about their quality, just Nintendo's timidness to try anything new. But like I said, Tomodachi Life is a good step.
why r u so salty tho.
I'm not really. I like Nintendo games, I just don't care about playing more Zelda because omg OOT is the best game ever and my child hood was so complete and I was so happy back then ;___;
I wanna see JonTrons reaction
It'd certainly be better than how he handled the recent Conker fiasco.

Galaxy and 3D World and LBTTW change the formula really well, but I'd like to see something new from Nintendo.

A good example of this would be Super Mario Galaxy.
I'm not saying the games are the same - they're clearly not.
