PC pricing for Deus ex: HR: Directors cut revealed

Square just revealed the prices a while ago. If you own the game on PC (and have Missing link) then you'll have a massive discount.
Here's the pricing plans:
If you do NOT own Deus ex: Human revolution on steam: £12.99/€19.99/$19.99
If you own Deus ex: Human revolution but don't have "The missing link": £6.99/€7.99/$9.99
If you own Deus ex: Human revolution AND "The missing link" £3.49/€3.99/$4.99 (DC has The missing link in it, which is why owning it already is cheaper.)

Will I need to provide a tablet of some sort?
Five bucks isn't too bad I think.
For 4€ that's pretty interesting.

I'm confused as to why people keep suggesting that you're required to use some sort of second screen to the play the Director's Cut. Can someone enlighten me as to where this information came from?

I assume it came from being a Wii U game originally.

And I thought it had tablet based augments.

The Wii version has it, I have no idea if the rest do although I would assume not.

Also, damn I'm loving those prices.
Besides fixing bosses what does this add?

Because it started out life as a Wii U exclusive. I'm pretty sure that they're releasing an optional IOS/Android app to work as the second screen, though. :)

New game +, all the DLC (Missing link included), Dev commentary, Graphical and AI overhauls, and a BTS video
How exactly are they fixing the bosses? I mean the boss battles were shit so I'm rather interested.
Wasn't this a WiiU exclusive? What happened there, not enough profit to be had?

They add alternative methods to dispatching them. Before it was run+gun regardless, but now for the first one theres like this upper balcony area that you can hide in and do shit. You can't avoid killing them, but you can find other ways to do so now.

No, everybody bitched and cried until they got they way. You know, the usual.
Not in my wildest dreams did i expect this. I guess everyone was expecting to be paying the full price and Square Enix getting flamed.
Oh fuck yeah, that's what I wanted to hear.
Sucks for Wii U players though, if there'll be any.

Why the fuck would anyone want it to be exclusive? That'd be literally retarded.
Hell yeah, $5 is a pretty awesome deal. Square Enix defies expectations here, I was thinking it was going to be at least $20.

People who own a wiiu and want everyone else to be miserable too?
Uh that's actually really nice.
How nice of them!
Wow. I'm quite happy about this, I thought this was a thing I was gonna have to wait for the price to come down.
So I pay less than 4 quid, awesome!
At that price this is going to sell really well. I'm surprised it's going for this cheap, considering the usual Square enix pricing.
That's one hella deal. The cheapskate inside me wants to wait for a sale anyway, but I'd rather reward their decision right and now and hope it'll mean similar deals in the future if enough people agree.

Pretty unfair to give immense benefits to WiiU only though while completely alienating consoles and PC, you can't argue against that

Even Wii U owners, or at least the majority of them, realized people were getting a raw deal to miss out on an improved re-release where the rest of the market couldn't get it despite the rest of said market getting the original version. It'd be completely illogical to restrict this to an underselling console and it was a completely stupid business decision on Ubisoft's part at first.
It's nothing quite like the Rayman Legends case, where the game was nearly done for Wii U but then Ubisoft forced the devs to delay it so they could make the game multi-plat, though (which would improve sales but meet difficulty from replacing Murphy's Gamepad functionality in the Wii U version with a lousy-performing AI for every other port).
for anyone that wants a copy to upgrade

the question mark is a number

Why are you upset more people get to play a game?
I thought they said you'd get a free upgrade to the DC if you've already got the game?
Seeing as I have yet to pick up the original HR, I was willing to pay the rumored $30 for Directors Cut. It being $20 if you don't own any form of it is pretty decent. Assuming the Oct. 25 date the article gives is correct, nice to actually have a date for it too.
EDIT: Though Steam has the date as Oct. 22. Kind of funny as it must have been added earlier today as I've been checking for weeks and there was nothing about it in the coming soon section.
