"The Bad Company [team] isn't forgotten, they are just on a very long vacation," says DICE creative director. A third title in the Battlefield: Bad Company series will happen, DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson has said. "My feeling is that I would love to do it. For me, when we started the company with 1942, it was really a work of passion," said Gustavsson at a press event reported by Polygon. "And then we worked our way through the era of different wars, and I loved them all, like my little babies. When it came to Bad Company, it was creative freedom; don't take yourself too seriously." Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released in 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, following the 2008 original in the offshoot series. The games cast players as Private Preston Marlowe, and featured a comedic cast of supporting characters in Private Terrence Sweetwater, George Gordon Haggard Jr., and squad leader Sergeant Samuel D. Redford. "So I love it. I want to see it again," continued Gustavsson, "whether it can happen now with the newly announced Mirrors Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront… but we'll see." EA's E3 2013 press conference in June unveiled both Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront, with both next-gen titles in development at DICE alongside the upcoming Battlefield 4. EA later said that it plans to rotate between Battlefield, Titanfall, and Star Wars: Battlefront as the publisher's main annual shooter.
http://au.gamespot.com/news/battlefield-bad-company-3-will-happen-says-dice-6415278 fuck yes
Would it really be any different from the last two games in the (Battlefield) series?
Would it really be any different from the last two games in the (Battlefield) series?
no prone
Hoping the focus would be on the singleplayer, seeing as we already have BF3/BF4 for the MP. Or invent something new, more bad company-ish for the multiplayer.
After Bad Company 3, please, PLEEEAAASE make 2143 DICE. Bring back the best gamemode of any Battlefield game: Titan.
After Bad Company 3, please, PLEEEAAASE make 2143 DICE. Bring back the best gamemode of any Battlefield game: Titan.
2142 was such an ace game, I played it almost as much as BF2, and my dad still plays it now.
They should set Bad Company 3 in an alternate reality and make the multiplayer more arcadey like Halo.
I still think Bad Company 2 is better than BF3, and certainly better than what I've played of BF4 so far. The destruction is as advertised and not toned down, it tries to be like Call of Duty far less than BF3 and be its own game. It's just better
Perhaps Bad Company 3 could be placed in the future! Marlowe Jr. and so forth... man can dream.
I still hold they should have just made Bad Company into BF3 and BF4's single player. The whole reason of a special console version of Battlefield doesn't mean squat when you release BF3 and 4 on the consoles anyway. Plus it'd mean I'd actually play BF3's single player, instead of listening to Joe McSoldier get interrogated.
I really like the singleplayer on bad company 2, and i wish they actually continued the story arc
Good news. Not a fan of CoD or other BF's, but the Bad Company series didn't take itself seriously at all.
I really hope they bring back the ridiculous story lines and free map packs.
I really hope they bring back the ridiculous story lines and free map packs.
vietnam in bc2 wasn't free but supposly it was really good but bc2 was really fun with just the stock maps blowing buildings up where snipers were in, only complaint was that it felt like you were slipping on ice in some of those environments
Wonder if the story will be as cheesy. "oh no, the russians! again!" "damn i was just about to retire." That being said, I look forward to it.

Hope it's more like BC1 this time around, BC2 was a little too much like CoD for my liking, compared to BC1.
got a vietnam bc3 would be amazing, maybe they should do the Korean War or something other, I mean vietnam is really cool but i feel like soon it'll be another WW2 in the game industry
got a vietnam bc3 would be amazing, maybe they should do the Korean War or something other, I mean vietnam is really cool but i feel like soon it'll be another WW2 in the game industry
no way. the only good games that have come out recently set in the vietnam war are call of duty black ops, battlefield vietnam and bc2 vietnam. one more couldn't hurt. also if they made bc3 set in vietnam it would really create a huge difference between bf4 and bc3 other than bc3 having less content and being less realistic and more fun.
This is simultaneously a fuck yes and a fuck no. Fuck yes BFBC Fuck no 2142 :(
okay that's true, black ops 1 was pretty good in its vietnam setting the story was enjoyable and i liked the twist at the end also it was a breath of fresh air
Bad Company 2142
If they don't make 2143 with the Titan gamemode, they should make a gamemode for BF4 where you have to board the enemies air carriers and destroy it from the inside. Just saying. That or in Bad Company 3.
I loved BC2 because it had an awesome Singleplayer as well as an awesome multiplayer. It's kind of funny that the destruction in BC2 was a bit more thorough and fleshed out. Even playing the BF4 beta I find that the destruction isn't all that notably amazing. The big head turner is the levolution feature but even then that's more of a scripted sequence triggered by certain conditions.
Am I the only one who misses base assault from United Offensive?
apparently this is an early in game beta screenshot, but I don't trust myself

Oh God, please pick up from the end of Bad Company 1, or at least explain it. Bad Company 2 had nothing other than a single off-hand remark to Haggard not being able to read a map so they got lost. I know Bad Company 2's campaign was supposed to be a satire and all, but I'd much rather have the dumb, cheap, cheeseball comedy of the first game come back.
