Hi guys, Don't know if this type of thread already exists, if it does, i appologise. Feel free to upload your own. Here are mine so far. Iphone3GS crappy "camera-shots" and processed right on device with diffrent Apps: The following Pictures were all shot in Berlin the capitol of Germany [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img32/7823/img0570fw.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img16/6790/img0555mc.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img413/1672/img0553r.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img842/9126/img0522.jpg[/url] D200 DSLR Shots composed and aligned using Photoshops CS5 algorythm: These Pictures were also shot in a Berlin Park- [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img138/6729/panorama01.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img508/1235/07cropped.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img443/5598/panorama05.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img801/1282/panorama04.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img525/8206/panorama03q.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img827/1646/panorama02.jpg[/url] [url]http://a.imageshack.us/img52/7826/panorama06.jpg[/url] I will update according to future shots. On a side note: These Pictures were NOT editited, they were only stiched using diffrend algorythms... so no post color correction so far, so that i categorize this as Photos and NOT as art. Edit: Deleted the Image Tags... to just pressable links. Should sort out the browser speed problems.
My browser committed suicide when I entered this thread. :downsgun:
Same here you could do with resizing them. My browser lags and struggles to scroll through your posts. Even making them thumbnails with the bbcode on FP means the entire large image is still loaded I believe. Or use the thumbnails like image shack provides when you upload an image.
Same as above. And get a real camera if you really are interested in photography, it is all worth it.
[QUOTE=chamon;23779592]Same as above. And get a real camera if you really are interested in photography, it is all worth it.[/QUOTE] dude the nikon d200 IS a real camera in my oppinion... its just a little bit weaker then the d90 in terms of iso sensitivity
It says iPhone 3Gs or some shit, I am unable to see it cuz my browser lags like shit
Yeah they were not taken on a Nikon DSLR. You even said they were on an iPhone. If you have a Nikon, you should use it. They'd look really nice. :buddy: Edit: just took the time to lag scroll and half way down and see you also posted some from your Nikon. I can't really tell the difference, do you have a shaky hand and no VR or something? You could do with a tripod. It's hard to see the images as they're so darn big.

How do you do panoramas with Photoshop CS5?
Maybe content awareness on them? Does CS5 have that? I only have CS2, so I use Microsoft ICE when I made my first panorama the other day. It did almost a flawless job minus a bit of bad stitching on the sky (which smudge fixed in PS.) Also those Nikon pictures look much better now I can actually see them without my browser crying. I love Panorama 4 that is my favourite.
Yes, CS5 does have it, but I am a complete newbie in it, so I would probably end up with the some crazy picture.
Then try Microsoft ICE? It's decent. [editline]10:11PM[/editline] Oh here is a tut for doing it in PS if you want to try that: [url=http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/panorama/] Create Cinematic Panoramas With Photomerge In Photoshop CS4[/url] (though that method also uses adobe bridge.)
Whoa, thanks! The photo merge looks absolutely awesome! I am bound to do a panorama now.
[QUOTE=chamon;23786198]Whoa, thanks! The photo merge looks absolutely awesome! I am bound to do a panorama now.[/QUOTE] If your still interested in CS5 the process of creating a Panorama is pretty simple. 1. You only have to shoot Pictures around you that overlap for roughly 30%... 2. Then you have to import every Picture as one Layer. 3. Now you select every Layer, choose edit and click on Align Stuff (Cant be more precisly as im stuck with my crappy german version... maybe one can upload english lang files for cs5... anyways...) Then it processes your images. 5. wait 6. Crop to the Size of your prefered Canvas piece, so the next step doesnt need too much resources. 7. Mark every layer now go to edit and select blend stuff... Thats basicly it... now you can post process your images... but i didnt do this here. On a side note: This process is pretty hardware intensitive and needs alot of freespace on your hdd so make sure you have enough before starting! Also please post the Pictures here youve just created a Panorama of, im interested in Panos ;)
I tried to do it of my room, but I think photoshop got confused, and I didn't leave any identical space. I'll try tomorrow when it's daylight and post the result.
[QUOTE=chamon;23786816]I tried to do it of my room, but I think photoshop got confused, and I didn't leave any identical space. As PS otherwise gets confused with propotions! edit: There are diffrent ways to do a pano... as there are diffrent algos that do panos... but thats what ps gets for me the most time right on auto setting.
Position of interest? Do you mean only rotate it? Because I rotated with it, so maybe that was the issue indeed. I really need a tripod or a gorillapod
[QUOTE=chamon;23786905]Position of interest? Do you mean only rotate it? Because I rotated with it, so maybe that was the issue indeed. I really need a tripod or a gorillapod[/QUOTE] ah i said position... i meant point of interest ;)
im going to do a 360 tommorow, kempt meaning to do one and never bothered, when i got the monies i want a gigapan epic pro for some hardcore pano action (the gigapan is whats used to make the dubai 45gigapixel and stuff like that)
Whoa, isn't that pricy as fuck?
[QUOTE=chamon;23788937]Whoa, isn't that pricy as fuck?[/QUOTE] [url]http://www.gigapansystems.com/[/url] only 900$... well i presonaly dont think its worth it... but then again the results seem pretty awesome.
Oh. But I don't think it is worth it either, in the end you would only end up using it a few times.
Oh man i am all over this thread. I think its File > Automate > Photomerge, then just choose your pics, use 'auto' and let it do its stuff. And dont use the Merge to HDR its garbage. Photomatix Pro 3 is what i use. Anyway down to panoramas. [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramahl2ep21png.png[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramagmbigcity.jpg[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramadogpark2.jpg[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramadogpark1.jpg[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramahike2.jpg[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/panoramacoloradobalcony.jpg[/url] [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/CAF%20Wannabe%20Airshow/panoramacafhangar6.jpg[/url] and just for fun [url]http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/GenKrash/CAF%20Wannabe%20Airshow/DSC_0709.jpg[/url] I love panoramas, it allows you to put a massive amount of interesting details into each shot.
[url]http://roflsaurus.com/users/public/e13Untitled_Panorama1h48.jpg[/url] I tried. I should probably stand longer away next time, the sides are kinda stretched. Or maybe I should have taken more images and then cropped the outer ones out.
i tried photoshop 5 got too annoying it asking which colour space i wanted to use for every goddamn image, just used ms ice in the end how do i make a jpg though? lightroom doesnt seem to accept psd and it complains the tiff is too big
Uhh you can move the camera when doing panoramas. I've done it plenty of times.
[url]http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/8513/img0620stitch.jpg[/url] resized to 10% of original which was 75739x3934 and 297 megapixels, going to go do another on a more even surface tommorow and hopefully it will be a flat image
It's a little small. And you should cut the artifacts out.
try this [url]http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=29ffbb7a-5561-4895-9a70-68a97e076fd6&m=false&i=0:0:0&c=0:0:0&z=711&d=-1.13782713444984:-1.13778456781983:-1.25326012771636&p=0:0&t=False[/url] you need silverlight but you can pan and zoom the site has loads of great content
[QUOTE=Kontact;23796132]And dont use the Merge to HDR its garbage. Photomatix Pro 3 is what i use. [/QUOTE] The new "Merge to HDR Pro" in CS5 is actually pretty good. I now prefer it over Photomatix Pro, which I've been using for a couple of years. Also, am I allowed to contribute one of my panoramas to this thread? :D [URL="http://herlandgraphic.com/KRPano/lysekloster/lysekloster.html"][IMG]http://herlandgraphic.com/images/Pano-Lysekloster.jpg[/IMG][/URL] For some really cool effects, use the Right-Click menu!
