Looks a bit bland.

They've made hundreds of millions of dollars across the lifespan of Operation Flashpoint, ARMA, Take On and Day-Z. They make simulations that are licensed to governments for military training for Christ's sake. You're really going to compare them to the guys that are Kickstarting their first game?
So combat is like PVK2 and Mount and Blade?

I'm just saying the game is smaller in scope because it has a smaller budget, but not because it's independent.
Shooting the bows looks like lots of fun, and it looks quite nice.
unfortunately this game is being developed at a snails pace, I like the developers and so far they're doing pretty good but damn I'd be surprised if this took any less than 2 more years to be completed.
