I think this is pretty interesting. Definitely worth to watch it.
I think he really hit the nail on the head with the comparison of Iraqi WMDs and Syrian Chemical weapons.
thought it was a little cute when he stuttered over rebe-terrorists. :v:
Everyone is talking like this is suddenly a good guy who deserves sympathy, and the evil Americans are threatening him. THIS GUY killed his own people with nerve gas a tortures Civilians, I'm not supporting action, but NO sympathy or understanding is deserved.
"we are not a social media government" sadly very true when talking about the US.
he's also right about willy pete and DU but those are a different tier.
Blatant lying about Hezbollah and Iranians.

proof pls
Why is it that Assad speaks more like a rational human being than the gut-jerk western politicians who just repeat the words "Obvious" "Clearly" "Must" and "Think of the Children".
My favorite part of this is when he is asked about how the UN investigators got delayed by the regime and he responded;
'Well the Russians reported the exact opposite, it was the Americans who were delaying"

He brings up fair points and is well spoken but there are some clear lies he tried to peddle.

Because he's media savvy, and you're the type of person who'd believe Hitler if he told you he sent all the Jews to Disney Land as long as he was wearing a "no blood for oil" tee-shirt.

Mass protests in your country (that are peaceful) = Massacre protesters with tanks and bombs, shoot at mourners at funerals, torture opposition, ect. He isn't a nice guy.
Watch some of these videos and tell me you people tell me how reasonable he is: [they are VERY graphic]

That is some of the torture ordered early on the crush the rebellion. This guy is not reasonable.
i feel like one of the few fpers who actually gave a damn about the syrian conflict when it began years ago as a bunch of government thugs shooting unarmed protesters
I remember everyone was pissed about the fact that China and Russia were blocking us from doing anything.
And then everyone did a 180 somewhere after I got the boot.
people really need to stop Bashing Assad.

I just feel like this should be posted in every Syria-related thread because it works so well.

You were asked for evidence of him using nerve gas.
Pro-democracy protests erupted in March 2011 after the arrest and torture of a group of teenagers who had painted revolutionary slogans on their school's walls in the southern city of Deraa. Security forces opened fire during a march against the arrests, killing four. The next day, the authorities shot at mourners at the victims' funerals, killing another person. People then began demanding the overthrow of Mr Assad.
His voice/accent is so... soft
The only reason Assad sounds convincing in this interview is because the interviewer is a complete fucking tool.

No they didn't, it just wasn't very good.

there is still no proof of the regime using chemical weapons only the US is spreading that
The only reason Assad sounds convincing in this interview is because the interviewer is a complete fucking tool.
This pretty much sums it up. The interviewer didn't ask any hard questions like: "Mr. Assad, how do you explain that you got essentially 100% of the vote last election? Are you trying to tell me that out of 24 million people almost nobody wanted someone else?"
This guy is one of the biggest monsters to lead a country in the modern age.
proof pls
the whole reason this civil war is happening is because the regime decided to start shooting protesters.

The Assad regime is tyrannic for sure, but I think Diarrhea was refering to the nerve gas part
