This looks pretty cool. And looks like it's already been out on steam for a few days.
If there's one thing the game has going for it after playing it for a while, it's that the environments are fucking BEAUTIFUL. It's really unbalanced though. You respawn with an insta-kill rocket launcher every single time, and it's basically a guaranteed kill per spawn.
Oh how I wish for a singleplayer game like this.
looks awesome as hell, when is it coming out?

Holy fuck, it's pretty much a 2015 remake of Army Men, I'm basically sold [editline]11th December 2015[/editline] And they just added Australian dedicated servers, sweet
This seems to have all the things I loved about de_rat and such maps in cs.
This came out of nowhere, I'm glad it did.
man i always liked army men games, but most of them were either too old or not really fun to play this one looks really fun, kind of happy :v:
Oh-ho-ho yeahh This is triggering some serious Army Men nostalgia.
Used to love the old Army Games as a kid. Remember playing splitscreen too. But not sure how much a game like this which is multiplayer only is going to last.
Looks unbalanced as fuck
This looks great. The old Army Men games were pretty good fun. Gameplay in this video reminds me a lot of Pandemic's Battlefront games.
more content then this years star wars game.
I really love the look, score and map design in this game but the gun play is really bad. There are huge balancing issues and it never really feels like you've hit anyone.
was kinda hoping it would be an RTS like the original Army Men games but this still looks really cool
more content then this years star wars game.
There's definitely less content. But the asking price is more reasonable than $60. I do hope people start setting up larger servers though. 5 v. 5 is ok, but I'd like to see 20 v. 20 or something at the least when I feel like playing in a clusterfuck.
I don't know if you can get more than 10 players, and I can't seem to connect to a single game yet without disconnecting.
So I played a few rounds of this, and it's pretty fun! I was absolute garbage, but the character control is really fun (very much like Battlefront 1 and 2), the weapons are okay after a figured out that everyone has every weapon, and the level designs are very cool - like the levels in the old MicroMachines games. Seems to be a good purchase so far, especially given it's discounted at the minute. I'll have to see how I feel later down the line about it, but so far so good.

Reminded me of that TF2 map where it is two houses and the players are really small. I loved that map. This game looks like it would be a good fps for kids because it is pretty tame as far as I can tell. The toy soldiers break apart.
From what I have found it seems to be 5 v 5 which effectively kills this game for me.
Man, someday if I have the money I want to buy the Army Men Franchise rights.
Just played it. What a game. First of all, the art design is incredible. From the overall schemes (Bathtub Bash's giant octopus is my personal favorite) to the little details (like the xylophone ramps on Toybox Assault), every map nails the environment it represents perfectly. The clay in Art Table Shuffle actually looks like clay. Operation Birthday's deserts look like real jello and cake. Nothing but praise for that. As for map design - They're all unique. Every map has a different objective, ranging from TDM, to CTF, to KotH, to double payload, to reverse payload, to multiflag to pretty much every game mode in existence and more. Every single map on the roster was tailored for a specific purpose, and the outcome is pretty cool. The sound design deserves nothing but praise as well. Each map has a different "theme" to it that is a variation of the main theme of the game. When I first started playing, I thought this would get boring quick, but it never did. Weapon balance- Pretty good actually. Some people complain about the rocket launcher, I personally think the way they handled it is great. Here's how it works- Each character has 5 weapons- Assault rifle, sniper rifle, shotgun, rocket launcher, flamethrower; And one grenade. All of them (except for the flamethrower) have a limited amount of ammo. Once that ammo runs out, a cooldown timer starts, and you only get ammo for that weapon when that cooldown timer fills up or when you respawn. You start with one grenade, one rocket, 15 shotgun rounds, 6 sniper rifle rounds, and 450 assault rifle rounds. The reason it works so well in my opinion, is that it balances out the playing field- Everyone starts out their strongest, and it slowly gets harder and harder. It really mixes up the gameplay as well- for example, players can't exclusively snipe- once their 6 shots are out, they've gotta move on. There are a few issues that need fixing, though. Two maps in particular- Off The Rails and Kitchen Run- are too linear and tend to get bogged down, the server browser stops working sometimes and needs a lot of refreshing, and the matchmaking system can go fuck itself- but most of those things can get patched out. So, overall, it's a pretty cool game for its price tag. Considering that this game was designed by just 9 people working remotely and communicating solely by Skype, it's well worth the 10-15$. I was physically unable to pause the trailer. Holy heck that brought back some sweet Army Men memories.
I bought it and I'm stuck in the Virtual Basement splash screen. Awesome.
That looks amazing, I'll have to check it out on Steam.
Reminds me of how much I loved Sarge's Heroes for the N64. This game look awesome, but I really wish they had a singleplayer like the old 3DO games.
