I bet some of you guys have already heard of the "Aircruise", which is a concept airship that is able to travel long distances. And it would be the most beautiful, luxurious trip you would ever be on.
Here is a quote explaining the "use" of it
Seymourpowell's Aircruise concept presents an alternative take on the future, suggesting "slow is the new fast." "The Aircruise concept questions whether the future of luxury travel should be based around space-constrained, resource hungry, and all too often stressful airline travel", explained Nick Talbot, design director at Seymourpowell. "A more serene transport experience will appeal to people looking for a more reflective journey, where the experience of travel itself is more important than getting from A to B quickly."
On Aircruise, it is the very abundance of time and space that defines the luxury experience. In a world where speed is an almost universal obsession, the idea of making a leisurely journey in comfort is a welcome contrast. "The physics of the airship requires a gigantic volume of lifting gas, yet simultaneously demands a relatively limited amount of weight," added Talbot. "This allows for a potentially large amount of space with relatively few people onboard - a luxury for any traveller.
Now as you probably figured out, this thing isn't really fast ( about 90 hours from Los Angeles to Shanghai). So it would be like going on a cruise ship, but instead being thousands of feet above ground.
It's a world cruise not limited to the ocean, offering instead the dream-like quality and absolute freedom of flight. Passengers can choose to dine thousands of feet above a city, or take in the view whilst moving through the air over the ocean or a national landmark."
Now we probably don't have the technology needed to build one of these yet, but when it's built it is said that it will be very eco-friendly.
Lifted by hydrogen and powered by solar energy, the Aircruise concept also has obvious environmental benefits. "This was a dream concept project for us, helping to realise a future of sustainable buildings combined with innovative and luxury lifestyle," said Seung Min Kim, design director at Samsung C&T. "In an age when environmental impact is a key consideration for architecture, we are keen to extend this vision of the future by searching for solutions that can be realised by 2015 - the year that many futurologists foresee as the turning point for the future."
Now for the more interesting part, Pictures.

This is what the "docking bay" would look like.

And yes, it is in the water aswell.

More concept art.
What should also be noted is that there wouldn't be many travellers on one of these things. Because of the weight. So for the people going on one of these would probably go for the amazing experience.

Now, I wouldn't expect seeing one of these in the air in a long time. But who knows, our technology is getting better and better every day. So maybe in a couple of decades, if you have the money, you could go on a trip you would never forget. I myself would definitely pay to go on one of these.
Also, if I did any misspellings please tell me.
looks expensive
why not just fly a fucking hot air balloon you crazy fuckers
... and I would never be able to afford a room there in my lifetime
∞ $$$
looks swanky though.
Finally we put Protoss technology to good use.

Humanity would be boring if we didn't have small luxurious things like this.
If I was a bond villain I would want one of these for personal luxury.
By hydrogen? What
One step closer to living in a sci-fi movie :buddy:
And one step closer to the return of the Reapers.
How the fuck does it fly
The third quote kinda explains it, but it's still a Work in progress.
Looks cool.
How the fuck does it fly
