War on Terrorism Tactics Recycled Version of Anti-Socialist Tactics?(911 Truth) - General

Basically, it was a combination of state-sponsored terrorism and Nazi-like propaganda to ensure global supremacy. One program that caught my eye was Mockingbird. Basically, the CIA funded some conspiracy magazines to generate false conspiracies within the media. During the rise of pulp and science fiction magazines and films(50s-70s), these stories began getting into the minds of some left-leaning trust-fund babies. A lot of these theories lacked actual scientific support, or completely ignorant of evidence against them(filmed moon landing, one of the superbowls were fixed/not live, Aliens, existence of made up nations in underdeveloped continents , walrus-soldiers, pretty much anything Dale Gribble thinks up). Why would the government generate false theories? Because they are easy to disprove when the government opens up. But why in the first place? This was an era when Americans started to realize the atrocities the government was doing, with inflation, black lists, terrorism, Vietnam, etc. The fact was, the people could overthrow them. However, this was the age of media, when TV shows and comics had more influence than actual news. Basically, for every real conspiracy theory, the government generated 10. Why? It is the classic "boy cries wolf" scenario. The general public believed that if most conspiracy theories were false, then all(including the ones that were actually real) should be ignored. Basically, this project made the general public have more faith in the US government than independent reporters. What if it is still going on? I'm being honest here; 9/11 was real. It may sound cool to say it was inside, but it was real. But you know what "conspiracy theory" I do believe to 100% real? Blood for oil. The Bush administration and the oil companies that lobbied for this war(SERIOUSLY, WHY WOULD YOU LOBBY FOR A WAR?) should be in international court for such a failure. There is so much evidence, and one major evidence is that they admitted that the war was INDEED made under FALSE pretenses. Translation: we knew there were no WMDs and the evidence we had were from 15 years ago, when Saddam already got rid of them, so we pretty much lied to the citizens so that we can topple Saddam's regime. I am making this post because a conservative friend of my mine assumed I also believed in the 9/11 conspiracy when I said the war was pretty much for oil. In fact, a lot of people assumed the same when I told them. My belief is that people are trusting the government too much again. And these false conspiracy theories are just distracting us from the truth. Hell, anything that makes America the bad guy is seen as a conspiracy theory. Quite recently, I have read the Time-Square bomber is getting Life sentence. I have read a lot about this, and from personal expirience, I am going to tell you the reality of the situation: Times Square was never in danger in the first place. Let me tell you how these "homegrown" terrorists are born: 1. The US government starts wire-tapping mosques and muslim households 2. They search for key words, like "bush" or "jihad" and "kill." 3. They do research on a group of these individuals, and sees who has the most troubled lifestyles. Usually, these men are struggling with bills, divorced, immigration issues, recent job firing, insomnia, mental issues, depression, etc. 4. They send a spy to a mosque, and after prayer hours, the spy talks to a few troubled(possibly suicidal) guys about politics and religious extremism. 5. They have meetings outside the mosque. 6. They plan an attack. 7. The spy sets them up. 8. Catch'em. 9. Make the story go public. 10. Restore confidence in America about wire-tapping. Faisal Shahzad is a product of this, and you will here stories from a lt of muslims of strange men coming to their mosque, talking about politics, and then never to be seen again. The government knew what he was doing since the beginning, they were spying on him right before he left CT to NY, with the explosives. Why would they endanger the lives of the people in Times Square? Because they weren't, those bombs were defective. Would the man blow up Times Square if the government didn't provide him with a spy? Would a victim of bullying shoo up his school if he had no access to a gun and a therapist. If this guy had problems, why didn't the government get him a therapist? This is not a conspiracy theory, this is fact. I did not get these facts off a forum, but from TIME, NYTimes, CNN, and all these other mainstream media. Is this how low we have become? The government truly is confident about our apathy, and I am not surprised. Maybe I'm too worked up, maybe this is a late post. What do you guys think? Motives are fantastic things, they can tell you volumes about people/group of people.

The government has pulled a lot of sinister shit that, if hadn't been proven, would make you sound like a nut-case for even proposing. For example; In the 1950s to the 1970s, the CIA ran a mind-control project aimed at finding a "truth serum" to use on communist spies. Test subjects were given LSD and other drugs, often without consent, and some were tortured. At least one man, civilian biochemist Frank Olson, who was working for the government, died as a result of the experiments. The project was finally exposed after investigations by the Rockefeller Commission.

This thread perfectly describes the way people approach any topic within any conspiracy. Regardless of the subject matter the approach is the same. The truth is the truth no matter how much you hate the idea and project your uninformed opinion onto the easily swayable masses. I truly believe it was done by Al-Qeida operatives. I think the title should have been "RE: 911 Truth" or something like that. The point of my original post is that we she should not believe in a lot of these conspiracy theories that are based on speculation. Mockingbird was an actual CIA operation that generated false conspiracies, which the CIA admitted to. This 911 Truth movement may be a tool for the government, since it is so stupid and lacking evidence, that a majority of Americans will discard it, and develop a mistrust for critics of the US Foreign Policy. I hate these theories, because they are a disgrace to investigative journalism and they pretty much create a "crying wolf" effect for the Truth. It is unhealthy when individuals have more trust for a government like the US. These false conspiracy theories distract people from the real facts, like the fact that the Bush administration entered the war under false pretenses. They admitted it, this wasn't on some blog, this is a fact. Not only that, but oil companies were lobbying for the war. This isn't fiction, or taken from some hidden CIA file, this was open to the public, if you watch CSPAN every now and then. This goes into the whole Times Square bombing myth. Here is a fact: The Patriot Act is REAL. Yes, they are wire-tapping this forum. Another fact: they profile muslims. Another fact: they send spies to mosques. Another shocking fact: they knew Faizal was going to bomb Time Square from the beginning. Read a newspaper. The public has become so lazy and inactive, that the FBI and CIA are just giving these facts away with full intention. Believe me, I was surprised when I heard on CNN that the government was aware of Shazad before the stunt. I don't know why they didn't keep it a secret. To tell the public that you knew beforehand is something that would create outrage. I guess the public has so much trust in them, they could say "we funded a genocide in some 3rd world country" and public would do absolutely nothing. Just because they share the same religion(barely) doesn't mean they cooperate. This false theory is promoted by the government to justify the invasion(before the war, it was proven that the 9/11 and anthrax connections were false). Also, you forgot that Saddam switched to the Euro for trade for his oil? You know how an economy works, right? In the middle east region, all countries are pretty much forced to trade with US dollars in order to prevent sanctions by the US government or a coup. Saddam realized that if he switched to Euros, he will weaken the USD and his oil will be available to a bigger market(pretty much EU, India and China). This happened in 2000. The oil companies began lobbying for the US to take action, and you know what happened afterwards...
