I am quite the WWII enthusist. :v:
Not really appropriate music and some pictures were used more than once which is a little underwhelming. Better music choice would maybe be Penderecki, to represent the horror of war? I mean the music isn't bad on it's own merits but it seems a little unprofessional in this context and (I think) gives the wrong message. This might be nice: And also, at the beginning you mention the point that a quarter of the casualties of WWII were civilian. You didn't really show that with much except that first picture. This presentation would be really effective if you focused on those civilian casualties and the things people were put through.
The music was so damn badass.

Going back into the video, i just noticed the reused pictures. I used the song in the video to give it that angry touch.
vampiresrock gave some pretty good critique, I'd definitely take note. I think the music doesn't fit either, something like this would probably more suited for some orchestral or classic music.
Change song to "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor"

As for that subject-- you start off by mentioning the human impact or casualties, with a pregnant extra sentence (one of only two, mind) suggesting the photos might be about civilians. Historically, none of the photos are explained, sourced, or legitimized as belonging to any particular area of observation. Pick a specific topic and run with that. Images can be just as powerful and valid as an act of parliament or any other primary source so treat them with respect and go for quality over quantity. Take it slower and explain what we're seeing. You need a more specific theme, you need to pick photos that relate to that theme, and you need to present them in a way that's tactful in light of the subject you're dealing with. What you have right now is a shotgun blast of images that essentially say nothing, and in a way that isn't particularly artful. [editline]31st March 2013[/editline] Another huge part of images is that they necessarily adopt a perspective. Maybe at the beginning mention the importance of photography to the experience of war? Or how these images shed light on certain things while obfuscating other things?
why would you want an "angry" vibe for your video anyways? it contradicts the theme you laid out with the opening text. you start with casualties(with emphasis on civilian casualties), which lends to a melancholy or sad theme, but then you decide to go with "angry" music? using something classical, or classical sounding is generally considered appropriate. most contemporary music doesn't hold the same emotional value that is generally associated with classical music. generally, the more violins and cellos are involved in the piece, the more appropriate it will sound.
