Not really worth the value in my opinion.
Did he get it for free? This dude totally can afford it.

Supposedly, but there is probably a deal somewhere
even then, with the amount of views, it'll cover the expenses probably

He has 4+ million subs, so it's actually cheap advertising.
Plus, it went viral and the video(and emirates) got 16 million views
caviar always seems so gross to me
Someday I want to fly first class
[editline]24th September 2016[/editline]
He looks like Sean penn
The market for this has to be pretty small. For the costs involved, you'd think someone who would buy this would look towards a private jet. There's some timeshare style options for doing that "cheaply."
when i was a kid i dreamed that air travel would get cheaper and nicer and that everyone could enjoy this type of quality
haha im such a fucking idiot i cant even get that quality at home

Yea, I mean if I wanna pay 21k for privacy, might as well get a private jet

Not sure if I've ever had actual caviar but lumpfish eggs and the like are pretty good actually.

Fresh or salted caviar is godly.
Casey Neistat is probably one of the most annoying vloggers I see on Youtube. Did some obscure and pretentious film related stuff on HBO and a few viral videos and now he just vlogs, daily, and he just overall comes off as an entitled attention addict (under the guise of documenting his life for the sake of art) that lives the grand life so his followers and live vicariously through him. I mean, I don't get vlogging in general, but he's not even a productive guy anymore; doesn't really do anything worth watching other than routine non-celebrity-guy-who-works-in-Hollywood stuff, but also isn't funny and doesn't have an interesting personality. He isn't even an attractive girl showing off cleavage. Thrust himself into stardom because he is good behind the camera, but when he's in front of it, he just comes off as annoying. I really just legitimately do not get his appeal beyond being a pseudo-celebrity, but even real celebrities like Terry Crews do much more authentic and passionate vlogging rather than the cold and commercial productions of this guy talking about how lovely his sandwich lunch was.
I'm sure the guy is a decent person, but his vlog content is just the most unappealing and boring mundane Youtube version of E!-TV-tier I've ever seen.
Well, seeing someone travel around the world constantly doing interesting shit with really good editing and cool cinematography is a lot better than watching some dude walk around his apartment talking about his day
I somehow know just from the title alone that this would be a Casey video.

I'm guessing that the flight simply didn't get enough people wanting First Class seats, and so they decided to make more money by bumping a couple random people to First Class so they could sell more regular tickets.

A precious few videos of his come off as seeing a cool other side of the world. He does some good stuff showing the humanity of Hollywood, especially when he films events or celebrities in a real casual way, but a good chunk of his near 1000 video reservoir isn't exactly much beyond "here's me with a lot of money doing stuff that's normal for me but comes off as really exciting to you because you don't have lots of money. Watch me go on expensive vacations and buy expensive things and talk about how amazing it is." I mean sure, I get why someone might find a video of someone enjoying some crazy amusement park or cruise or trip to another country, but like, it's just like "wow, I wish I could be there some day," rather than you know, well structured reviews, or in-depth information, or anything like that. I guess that's the nature of vlogging in general, which as I said, I guess I just don't understand beyond the "living vicariously through."

Saying he isn't producitve is really just not true. He doesn't put it on film much, but he runs a software company that develops social media apps, and the reason he flies all over the world like this isn't out of enjoyment but rather to make short films or deals with partners in business. So he's extremely productive, probably more so than most people will ever be.
He isn't even an attractive girl showing off cleavage.
And now I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

I usually get a free bump to first class flying international because of family airline benefits. People fly first class domestic a lot but most won't shell out the money for international unless they use buisness discounts or frequent flyer miles
that hair is so cool

This was more me saying that there are vloggers out there that are extremely popular because of sex appeal, and he's obviously not banking on that, so I don't understand what the appeal of his vlogs are beyond the fact that he's extremely wealthy and well connected and people see him as one of them instead of a celebrity so his vlogs seem more relatable for the everyday person, which makes living through him much easier than say, if Kanye West was vlogging about his daily life. Generally, any similarly successful artist (individual in film and photography sphere) could show off a very similar lifestyle, but he seems to be one of the few that actively vlog, so I guess people, as I mentioned earlier, see the humanity in the obscenely wealthy and well connected.

You pretty much answered your own question.
But you're forgetting how driven this guy is. He's a classic rags-to-riches kind of story and people look up to him for it. Some people are inspired by the success of others, and while I don't watch him anymore I used to feel very inspired by just his sheer dedication.

A private jet, its upkerp, and its logistics are way more expensive than that I think

My girlfriend is addicted to the constant stream of Casey Neistat vlogs and social media and personally I hate his guts, but you have to respect that he is a master of editing together a slick and fun video. As repulsive as I find the guy I actually found myself enjoying this video because it was put together in a charming and easy to digest way. Label it "junk food media" if you will but Casey is a wizard of his craft and is successful because of it.

it's interesting how well known Casey and how very not well known he is
I was very reluctant with his content at first but damn haven't I stopped and watched several of his vlogs, he's one of the firsts who excelled at vlogging, and they are entertaining and well thought out, well cut and shot.
oh and before anyone bugs out about him wearing glasses all the time: he wears them so he can watch the liveview display/mirror for the camera, he doesn't actually look into the lens. That enables him to use the composition of the image without breaking the intimacy by looking past the camera lens. Simple but smart, why not. That and he just likes wearing glasses for his style.

I'm sure most have seen this already but worth watching

Can we talk about how he wore his sunglasses in the fucking shower?

I mean, many celebrities have that kind of story though, particularly anyone who wasn't born into the film/music industry. Like I had mentioned, Terry Crews has a very inspiring story on how he came to be famous. Even people like Ryan Reynolds and Christoph Waltz have nice little stories on determination and dedication to their arts. Celebrities in general tend to be successful, whether behind the camera like Casey, in front like Reynolds, or both, like Adam Savage. I mean, a lot of really successful individuals came from humble(r) beginnings, so I can understand celebrity idolation, but I guess for me, blogging always feels like bragging, and that's something celebrities don't often do because they realize it's not PR friendly. Casey is that inbetween where he acts like a regular guy but either isn't aware or doesn't care (probably the latter) just how far up he's gone, and it just comes off as pretentious. When I watch Adam Savage make videos, he's impassioned by a project and he never throws his money or success at you, but instead, shares a real interest of his, whether that be film or cosplay or building. For every video of Casey sharing his work, there's many more "look at this wacky expensive thing I can easily afford haha isn't life great when you're successful" hidden under a layer of photography porn. I can get why film and music artists would find him inspirational, but there are so many similarly successful people with similar stories, that don't feel the desire to tell everyone about it, and Casey is just one of the few that does.
Like I said, sure the guy is fine, and probably more humble than he comes across, but his content is just massively unappealing to me.
Can we talk about how he wore his sunglasses in the fucking shower?
That's what I was thinking
"Dreams do come true! I'm showering on an airplane!"
With your sunglasses on!

I think it's all really well filmed, like notice that he sets up scenes and uses cameras properly, he basically makes short films instead of just whipping out a camera and recording himself walking around.
ITS GOT A BED, THATS AMAZING.

This sounds like the 21st century equivalent of "I'm in the waste management business"
