Anyone else hyped about this?
I know that judging movies that they should be good or bad from trailers is bad, but damn, this trailer DOES make me think this will be a good sci-fi.
And when it comes to sci-fi and high-tech aliens, I am totally sold.

I don't know what to think of this yet but it looks like it will at least be fun to watch.
Looks like War of the Worlds mixed with Independence Day. While both were ok on their own...well, this just looks like shit.
I'm myself not expecting a movie that would make me think while watching, but I'm pretty sure it will be entertaining and fun to watch like Colliseemoe said.
So that's what Lawrence O'Donnell does when he's not filling in for Keith Olbermann.
We just have to wait and see what the movie has to offer.

Movie looks alright.
It looks... rather cheesy.
Looks boring, sounds boring, take a couple million dollars out of it's budget and it becomes a Sci-Fi Channel movie.

Stephen Hawking DID say that. In more or less those EXACT words (he used the Columbus landing at America example himself). There was an article a few months back in which he was saying that maybe we SHOULDN'T try to contact alien life because he thinks that it's entirely possible that it would be hostile.
I'm gonna go against the apparent consensus we have going at the moment, and instead of hopping on the bandwaggon I'm gonna say: This looks interesting. I think I might go and see this.
