Apparently her contact lens is the only thing that saved her cornea from being torn up.
Ouch, I've had my German Shepard claw me in the eye like that when I was playing with him - no blood but it was either the sclera or the tear duct he got pretty good, since I was endlessly tearing up and in pain from that eye for weeks and couldn't go to work for a week. Had to see a doctor and get a few shots and anti-biotics, still is sensitive and this was months ago when that happened.
That shit isn't fun.

Cat was clearly getting frustrated and annoyed, don't mean to be rude but you don't put your face that close to a cat when it's showing those calls. Twitching tail, turning away from you. Honestly not surprised she got clawed but damn she got lucky.
