haha made me want to whip out my old rc car that's been gathering dust for about 4 or 5 years now
it handles like ass because the control sucks so i gave up and did other unimportant things
Beautiful.

Kinda disappointed this wasn't used.
Here is my two, rear one was my first one and has been demoted to basher.
The 86 needs his light buckets and the rest of the stickers.
RC drift is good fun.

This makes me want to pick up with RC cars again. I only have those Nikko cars from when I was rather young. Such as the 350z from Tokyo Drift which was pretty slow and only drifted on our hardwood floor.
Nonetheless, If I ever got the funds I'd definitely get an RC drift car for shits and giggles.

How do you even get in to something like this?

I'm no expert, but I think you buy one.

You can buy kits, its like anything else you build. You can change pretty much everything out and make some stupid fast RC cars.

i meant it more as a how do you find a group of people to do it with/a place to do it/components to buy/good kits to buy/how to mod your kits/etc
but thanks for your contribution
I used to have an XMOD car that I would race with my brother all the time when I was young and I got a stage 2 motor for my birthday and when I installed it it lit on fire and broke :(
Anyone have xmods?
Come talk about this stuff in my thread in gd, lets get some people in the hobby.

I knew they weren't exactly enthusiast grade kit but damn
I had two, a G1 whose steering eventually locked up and an evo g36 that was totally boss, though I realized pretty quickly that the like 2 stage steering really wasn't that great for drifting.

The same way you learn anything really with the help of our good friend google.
I personally got into it one day just randomly after going into a hobby shop.
If you really want to start, get a TT02 ready to run kit. They're usually real cheap basher cars that can be upgraded quite heavily over time. The way it went for me at least after buying my TT01 RTR, I googled, got into forums for the car then moved on from there.
