https://twitter.com/chFtheCat In case anyone was wondering why Steam is currently going up and down like hell. :v:
Mine went offline at 10:41EST I guess it just came back at 11:55EST
Another douchebag? Jesus christ.

I've been having problems with Origin tonight, too. Something's fucky here, boys. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
Gosh I wish I was him. [sp]Not really[/sp]
lmao did he just incriminate himself
So what's the point in this anyways? seems pretty dumb to me
lmao did he just incriminate himself
why do I get the feeling steam isn't being DDoS'd just has busy traffic and he's taking credit to look cool

Fucking whyyy. I understand that these people think they're cool, but I just wanna play some Sim City before I go to bed. Is that so much to ask? :C
DDossers are the worst It doesn't take much knowledge/skill to ddos (compared to other hacking methods), it's nearly impossible to counter and they keep acting smug as if they actually accomplished something
Steam still loads perfectly fine for me so who ever "ddos'd" it isn't doing a very good job
it still loads of course; it's just slower
It does take some knowledge to build yourself a botnet large enough to bring down a big service such as Steam, though Unless they're renting a booter then it's much less impressive
regardless it's still just plain, whats even the point? you know? That's just, what? Why even bother?
People get a kick out of being dicks, man
still, there are way more creative ways to be dicks
So what's the point in this anyways? seems pretty dumb to me
Some people just want to feel powerful I guess? Interrupting a service used by millions of people and claiming sole responsibility for it definitely gets a lot of attention.
regardless it's still just plain, whats even the point? you know? That's just, what? Why even bother?
Just being dicks for the sake of it. Not a coincidence that the last sale is happening I imagine.
store.steampowered.com is completely down. steamcommunity.com is working fine for me though, I can't connect to friends list though unless I go through the web chat client. I'm hoping they extend the sale a day because i've been trying to buy an extra copy of csgo for a while now and can't because it's down.
For fucks sake, why do this?
http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/steampowered.com.html It has to be DDos because this shows the ping history. EDIT: Well the other steam sites are up.
Is the Steam Store working for anyone else right now? I'd like to know if I can't access it because of my trash internet or because someone wants attention.
I was gonna buy Dishonered today, but the store page keeps timing out now.
Its pretty depressing that this seems to be the only way these guys can get attention.
Hiding behind computers, wanting to gain power. ffs this is baby shit
Don't tell me this is some sort of Lulzsec shit again.
Don't tell me this is some sort of Lulzsec shit again.
Wannabes, yes.
Hah.
And in 2 weeks, we all forget about this and there is no real damage done.
And in 2 weeks, we all forget about this and there is no real damage done.
I'd give it a day or two after.
Why would someone go for steam? Why target steam, I'd understand if it was a government page due to activist and such, but why hurt the gamers?
