Hello Facepunch. I come to you to ask for guidance in creating an epic outfit to go to the release of Tron in.
Now to start. I currently have a 2007 Ninja 250 that I would use as a "Lightbike". So far I plan on attaching either LEDs or just make a long circular glowstick around each wheel rim. I also will probably be adding LEDs on or around my bike as well. I have most of the bike figured out however it is the costume I will need help on.
Currently I have a Blue skin full skii suit with two neon yellow lines going down the side. I was probably gonna decorate my helmet with glowsticks as well.
Oh btw Pic of bike:
I do realize that It will not even remotely look like an actual light bike but its more of an improvised prop.
I would love to hear input from fellow FPers. I'll take pics and post video when I ride it to the theatre. :rice:
Don't put lightsticks on the suit or you'll get your ass kicked out of the theater.

I knew that was coming. I was looking more at the new tron like such:

This is one reason why I am going to see the premiere of Tron!!
Neon tape. Everywhere.
If you know anything about electronics, and you can solder and stuff, you should check out EL (Electroluminescent) Wire. With a simple power source and a tiny 5$ transformer, you can have glowing lines. Same technology used in Indiglo watches.

A great tutorial for you.
Oog, that's pretty damn cool.
I know right? Reading Make Magazine teaches you about all the cool things that electronics can do that they never teach you in school. Best quarterly magazine ever.
Damn thanks for the help on the EL wiring. I'll deffinatly be sewing that onto my jacket and adding a off on switch. I might even a kit for the bike (Even though its illegal haha)

I thought that the super lightcycle was only in Tron 2.0. Or is that some sort of promo thing for Tron 2.0?
You could take a glowstick, break it and use a paintbrush to draw lines.

Or flush it down the toilet.
