Doesn't the Quran have no relevance to ISIS?
No, ISIS is Islamic, they probably study the Koran more than most Muslims.

This is literally the middle east; majority of the population in the entire region is Muslim.
That's the equivalent of going to Rome and saying "oh my, he's caring a bible"
No, ISIS is Islamic, they probably study the Koran more than most Muslims.
They have such a poor interpretation of the Koran that I seriously doubt they study it at all. Majority of their doctrine is derived from religious figures that do the interpretation for the rest of them, which happens to be extreme and radical.
Most members of the Islamic State's understanding of the Koran is done through listening to their leaders, not reading the book themselves.

Not really. I see people walking around with bibles in their hands quite often.

the only major flaw in their interpretation is the fact that they're not treating Jews and Christian's as "God's people" as the Koran dictates they should. however this could very easily be explained away by the fact that they perceive modern Jews and Christians as active threats to Islam, and they have very specific instructions from God to kill enemies of Islam.

Shimon Revimi(30) on the left and Alon Beckle(26) on the right

There is a very long history of both Christians and Muslims not being at peace.
And that's not a flaw but another fact of support for what I said - majority of the people in the Islamic State do not follow the Koran but what radical religious leaders that do the interpretation for them.

Essentially all Muslims follow the interpretation of some leader or another. Protestant Christianity is fairly unique in its teaching that all Christians can interpret the Bible on their own. Even the Catholic Church teaches that official church interpretation is the only legitimate interpretation.
It's why discussing Quran or hadith interpretation is almost impossible. I've heard tons of Muslims say something akin to, "Who are you or I to disagree with the scholars who say X?"
they wanted to blow up the kaaba
No, the leader said to get rid of the black stone, not the Kabaa. It's a black stone that Muslims kiss for the sole fact that a hadith passage says Mohamad kissed it once. Even Abu-Bkr, the first caliph, didn't like the practice.
they wanted to blow up the kaaba
they want to blow up the Kaaba because before Islam was founded, it was used as a common worshipping place for idols and ISIS believes that once a place was used for idol worship, it's forever tainted by that.

I find this hard to believe, else only scholars would ever carry Korans. There would literally be no reason for a non-religious scholar to have one, then.
Even so, it does not shoot down my point that the followers of the Islamic State are following radical interpreters instead of what the book actually says.

From the news it looks like there are search teams composed of one armed uniformed police officer and one plain clothed dude with his face covered. Maybe they're Shin Bet or something. I don't know.
Anyway, more updates:
The suspect is still at large.
There are reports that the suspect has formerly expressed support for Daesh.
The family lawyer is already claiming insanity.
There's been another murder on the outskirts of Tel Aviv about an hour after the shooting. A taxi driver was murdered. It's not clear if the two are related, but there's a news blackout on both.
UPDATE: The terrorist was found and neutralized after a week of searching.

look at the end of the day we're talking about a religion here, and they're not meant to make sense.
we will just make ourselves all the more dumb for trying to put it all together logically.
i've heard different Muslims and Christians talk so much inconsistant crap about their beliefs that none of it makes sense
