• A few random animations!

I saw a couple of threads with Flash animations so I thought I'd put what little I have left. (I used to animate a lot years ago but I had most of them uploaded on a single site and it went down. :byodood:) Here's a short silhouette test that I made like a year or two years ago. This is an animation that's sort of an inside joke between my girlfriend and I but I'll post it anyway. Here's the third one. I had troubles with the preloader in this one so I had to remove it. I was going to extend this but the only reason I started making it was to do a little something with the chorus of the song and that's just what I did so I got bored, lol. I hope it loads! ..and that's all I have left. :c I really wish I had something longer and better but sadly I've lost them all and for whatever reason I just can't get back into Flash anymore. Hope you guys enjoy regardless! :v:
The first two animations are great, 3rd one gets stuck on the preloader. I also lost interest in Flash a few years ago and messed about with it recently. So much has changed in it.
No, you've got it all wrong. OP shows off his awesome loading-bar drawing skills in the third one. for it.
lmao, I actually still have the last one saved on my computer so I went in and removed the preloader. Hopefully it loads now, that one's my favorite out of the three! :v:
Last one was brilliant. Wish it was finished though. I'll never know who won. :saddowns:

Then Red Dead Redemption came out and after a while I lost interest in Westerns. :v:
Last one was pretty awesome.
I liked the first and last one i guess.
I like these alot! Good Work. I should really do more short flash animations instead of longer movies because I never get round to finishing then. Glad to know that there are more flash animators on FP!
Damn, I should really get back in flash again. Have any of you tried CS5? Personally I thing they messed up bad, they made the UI so damn difficult to navigate.
Damn, I should really get back in flash again. Have any of you tried CS5? Personally I thing they messed up bad, they made the UI so damn difficult to navigate.
I don't have much of a problem with the UI in CS5. What is the problem? Most is the same.
The first one would be interesting if it were actually animated in a conventional sense, but seeing as it's just a bunch of tweened shapes, it doesn't show off much artistic merit. The second one has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The third one demonstrates ample knowledge of the tools and the engineering process but, once again, doesn't display much in the way of technique or illustrative ability.

Even though I didn't ask for it since these are pretty old I still enjoy people pointing out my flaws more than the positive things since (usually) it helps me improve. The only thing I have to say is that I'm a little confused about what you are trying to say about the first one since I only use tweens for fades and such. If you're referring to conventional animation as in redrawing the characters frame by frame then, no, it isn't "conventional" but it is frame by frame animation using symbols. (Which was actually the point of the test, since I had never tryed it before) (Someone actually asked about how I made the first one when I first made it and I showed them this) I still don't know if I'll ever get back into animating but if I do, I'll definitely remember what you've said because I do tend to get lazy with a lot of things, especially whenever it comes to drawing. Again, thanks! You've given me the most specific comment I've had in a long time! :v:
Someone actually asked about how I made the first one when I first made it and I showed them this)
I think I'll have to retract my previous statement about you knowing the tools and engineering methods well. There are about 16 too many layers in that scene and absolutely no reason not to collapse that model to a single layer. If you collapse the entire thing, you won't see its individual joints when it fades out.

I don't see how it matters that much since it's a graphic.) You should have seen some of my longer animations, it was a little bit excessive. I've always animated in graphics, though, so he was just on a single layer unless you went into it. Thanks, again, though, so many mistakes! ;c
I love the third one but it needs to be finished.
