"If we can help prepare them we believe we can win time, quite simply, when it comes to their establishment in Sweden," Mattias Wahlsten, operations coordinator at the Public Employment Service, told Sveriges Radio (SR).
Participants in the project will not receive any financial compensation and the time spent in the preparation training will not be deducted from the total two-year establishment period which awaits them in Sweden.
There is no start date for the new initiative but Wahlsten said the Public Employment Service hopes to get going as soon as possible.
In May 2012 the Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket) estimated that around 23,000 Somalis with relatives in Sweden would apply to join them under the new rules.
But figures released this month showed that few have taken up the offer. So far, only about 12,000 Somalis have applied, and while a third of the applicants have been given permission to stay, only 1,000 have actually come to Sweden.

Depends on why they're immigrating. I'm a good example, I immigrated cause I was sick of parliament, but some people immigrate to avoid past criminal offences in other countries.

it can, it can also create racially segregated ghettos filled with crime and poverty.
sweden's supposedly a p. nice place but there is still a very strong anti-immigrant sentiment among many people and it can create some problems for the people immigrating.

Swedish immigration politics are fucked. We have all been brainwashed that the thought of "no immigration = racism", and so the "older" generation (people atleast above 25) almost wants open borders + subsidies to the immigrants. Typing under influence but i guess this could summarize the situation half-half.

We do. Almost all political parties advocate immigration and several surveys shows that most of the population is positive to it. The problem is that there isn't enough houses and apartments to live in. This isn't restricted to immigration, there is just to few affordable places to live.

It really does, especialy if non-native population refuse to be integrated in existing society. Thus, those offices are not that bad of idea.
In most cases I know of, unless by some chance a disease ends up killing the original inhabitants that immigrants have an immunity to, they don't tend to take over.
That's best left to the daily mail readers to cry over.

Thankfully, the Swedish Government does not share the opinion of most European Facepunchers and sees the value of immigration.
Immigration is awesome and I fully support it. The best foods in Australia were all brought here through immigrants. In general immigration really helps with cultural diversity, which (probably) results in greater acceptance of different peoples and their cultures. And of course many immigrants would have legitimate reasons for emigration, making it pretty immoral to just blindly turn away all immigrants.
The only problem with immigration is when immigrants may decide to band together and isolate themselves from other cultures. I mean I suppose that there is nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't really help with making people accept each other.
The problem with immigration in Sweden seems to be a very hostile mentality that disgruntled people adopt. At first it was just neo-nazis that adamantly wanted to kick immigrants out of sweden(they later reformed to a more friendly model and even though they still want the same they're now the third largest political party in sweden). This, on the other hand have upset some immigrants who have started movements to actually take over sweden, and it all ends up in a downward spiral.
Not to mention that the government just keeps taking in new immigrants without halt, without making sure that they can live proper, get a job, learn the language.
Also some people are mad that the swedish government "puts immigrants first" which I don't know how true it actually is, all I've heard is that immigrants get free drivers license stuff while swedes have to pay out the ass for the same thing.
Not wanting immigration is more along the lines of nationalism, not racism.
