awesome video's! Bit disturbing you can just go there, but awesome. What was that sound at the end of the last vide (near Chernobyl's reactor)? Sounded a bit like a dozer or cooling system. As reference I'll also just leave this here:
I wanna visit there one day.
It's just really weird to see that nature is taking back the city, I find it really fascinating.
Utterly fascinating. I should like to visit it myself some day.

I'd love to go there, but I would find it scary as fuck alone.
It's one of my goals to get to Chernobyl one day and see all the sights. [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] I refuse to go there unless I have an amazing camera by the time I've obtained the means to go there however. Gotta get all the pictures.
Chernobyl - one of the only places on Earth where Geiger-Müller counters don't tick - they scream.

I was planning to go there next year with a friend, but I hear they're closing it down for maintenance in the sarcophagus or something like that. At least my parents are happy for it, but damn. Does anyone know when we can expect it to open again?
Wow, i didn't expect chest- and dental x-rays to be that harmless, that's awesome!
If they weren't harmless it wouldn't be done so much, don't you think? [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] The Kopachy and Pripyat videos make me sad, because the kindergarten and the apartments look like they were looted like hell.
Such a beautiful place. Kinda glad they're so harsh on trespassers and the whole thing about the tours was shelved for lack of moneys.

My friends father took him there when he was 6 (they came from the ukraine, live in USA now). He picked up a awesome gas mask he found there. I need to get this guy to drag me to the ukraine
Nature always wins, eventually.
The Radioactive trees will be the end of us. :tinfoil:

It just creeps me out how quiet the city itself is. I'd imagine birds tweeting and wind blowing, but most of the time it's just dead quiet it seems.
Chernobyl.
Chernobyl.
Yes, yes it is.

She's been there before, great videos. She also replied to my questions, which is nice. I'm surprised how open it is - he's also been in basements, etc. and another user was able to get into a nuclear submarine workshop..
