E3 2013 - Sony Conference (My Summary) - General

Nobody was entirely sure if PS4 was going to require a fee for used games or go with any sort of online requirement).

It's literally taking a step back after they realized that what Microsoft was doing with the Xbone was pretty much [i]insane[/i], and then calling Microsoft out on it in their own little way. Same with the sharing instructional video.

That actually brought a smile to my face, I skipped out on PS3 for PC, but it looks like I'll be getting a PS4.

As relieving as it is to hear this, it also pains me to realize that this is what the industry has come to: doing the same bare basic thing that all consoles have done is suddenly a feature in and of itself.

There was no reason to not include this alongside new game releases and new features. It's that big difference in mentality and competition that's creating hype.
