A sci-fi like story I made because I was bored at the time, nothing to do. There may be a lot of inconsistencies and I can see questions asking 'Why so much Logs!?' Not all of my stories would be explain through logs, I just use them to provide a backstory which unfortunately, Chapter 1 is a very long backstory. Without any more stalling, here's my story: Chapter 0: Prologue A group of people woke from their long sleep, with limbs numb and aches unbearable but the most surprising of all for them was the desecration of the complex they were in. This was all sudden for them as the shocked mirage they have shown as they regained full consciousness. But before they can process what happened in the last 5 decades they slept through, a shriek that they cannot fathom echoed around the complex. Then a creature which possesses the features of a man of sorts appeared from above; but he was not alone. The creatures sneered for they know food is within their reach, ready to pounce. The group was prepared and taught on how to handle a situation like this but against something they never faced before, they did not expect this. The unforgettable shriek was etched in their minds and hope they would survive. Chapter 1: The New Era -Log 101- -Dr. Hector Rex- -March 21, 2525- I, Doctor Hector Rex have finally finished the necessary algorithms and perimeters needed for a cryo-sleep to be possible. The science community doubted me and was skeptical at first but I have proved them wrong when one of my subjects has finally awoken from his sleep after a year without any signs of aging. There are temporary side effects at first, these were: -Numbed feeling on their limbs -Aches all around the body ranging from very painful to tolerable -Lost of cognitive functions for a minute more or less; and -Induced vomiting, some cases involved blood But, the effects shown weren’t that detrimental to the health of the subject. They were some unexpected “effects” depending on the subject itself. The first subject managed to acquire photographic memory along with an increased in size of his brain which is to say in intelligence. The second one was an increased in muscle density, calcium in the bones and an enlargement in the adrenaline gland inducing longer periods of effects of the said hormone. We cannot explain at the moment why the subjects gain these abilities but we hope that it would not affect the health of the subjects themselves. -End of Log- -Log 102- -Dr. Hector Rex- -Marc h 26, 2525- We managed to isolate the problem and found out the reason why these “effects” were appearing on our subjects, the Cryo-Sleep machine stops or “freezes” age but not the evolutionary factor every organism or a creature possess. If they were in cryo-sleep for an indefinite amount of time, they would evolve hence why these “side-effects” are appearing on our subjects. But we need more testing if this hypothesis is true at the slightest. We also discovered a prototype around 2300-2400 that was the predecessor of our cryo-sleep. It stricken me that there were people before me who managed to invent the machine way before me but this prototype was reported to have been created to save a handful of people from a disease that was said to be incurable. This “disease” is actually very common in this decade of ours now so we can finally cure them so the prototype has accomplished its mission. I hope none of our competitors finds out that there was a predecessor to our “revolutionary invention”. -End of Log- -Log 103- -Dr. Hector Rex- -March 31, 2525- My hypothesis was proved true when the subjects of the prototype Cryo-Sleep had finally awoken from their slumber. Recent subjects’ “side-effects” of ours pales in comparison to the “Prototype-Subjects”. One Prototype-Subject have shown the ability to read minds, Telepathy, and to complement his newfound power, he also evolved the necessary reflexes to be in conjunction with the information he acquired through mind-reading. We cannot explain why he can read minds right now but we theorized that he has the ability to “intercept” impulses to the brain by a specific person. Another Prototype-Subject showed immense durability and strength that towers over our recent-subjects which is considered amazing already. This Prototype-Subject is able to cover himself in a second layer of epidermis strengthening himself along with the amount of force it can absorb, he was able to punch down a wall through this power alone without suffering any injuries or mishaps at all which we named the side-effect as ‘Stone-Skin’. There are 6 more Prototype-Subjects but one of them amazes me more compared to the others. This Prototype-Subject appears to have the ability to reconfigure his own bio-mass for a myriad of uses. To a certain degree, he can “turn” his forearm into a sharp blade of sorts or change his form to take on the identity of another. If this is the case, he’s a dangerous subject to work with but nonetheless intriguing. He seems to have that look of a convict in their days, if so then he is a fellow to be watch at carefully. -End of Log-
Reads like verbal diarrhea, basic sentence structuring is very poor. Read books [editline]21st June 2012[/editline] And :v: @ perimeters
