Was looking at Wiki, looks like James Camerons got a plan to re-release Titanic in 3D. Anyone here gonna go see it? It's a ways away, but hey, it was a good movie.
This has the potential to be awesome, and yeah i'll probably watch it.
It's gonna suck because going from 2D to 3D ends bad
How would they accomplish this? Don't 3D movies have to be shot with multiple cameras at once?
hmmm yup End of the World... also Justin Bieber will cover Queen to be our soundtrack to hell.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
It also seems just a little too money-grubbing-bastardish for Cameron to re-release his second highest grossing movie of all time.

You know, movie production studios never deletes their original raw scenes regardless of how old they are.
Seems like a gigantic gimmick.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they can travel back in time and reshoot the whole movie with more than one camera.
2 hours of a boat sinking.
Now in 3D.

With a bad sex scene
It's like the boat is actually sinking!

All movies were shot with more than one camera at multiple angles, but only one angle is used
Maybe as the boat is sinking, they can flood the theater to give the patrons the full experience.
There were no sex scenes in Titanic.
Also, this is a fucking stupid idea and the only motivation he has for doing this is to make a quick buck and this smells an awful lot like what George Lucas did with the "special edition" re-release of Star Wars.

Yes, but 2 of the cameras have to be shot at the same angle to give a proper 3D effect. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I've never actually seen Titanic, so I have an excuse to watch it now.

In order for a something to be filmed in 3D, there has to always be 2 cameras bout' an inch apart from each other.

Well 3D is a gimmicky pointless piece of shit but, if they re-release it with the Rifftrax applied, then sure... I'll go see it.
kate winslets boobies in 3d

I disagree. Avatar was simply amazing in 3D.
How does one make a 2d movie in to 3d, one might ask.
Well you see kids, he modeled the whole movie in CGI, then implemented all the camera angles and such, then he create out a 3D bump map out of it which he overlayed onto the new movie. Tada, cinema magic.
i saw a nightmare before christmas when it was re-released in 3d and it wasn't really any better than the original.

Not exactly true. They converted Clash of the Titans from 2D to 3D somehow.
I think the 3D was so good in Avatar because they used 4 cameras instead of 2. I think I read about it somewhere.

Maybe they are going to zoom in the camera a tiny bit. then make a double of the image and put them just next to each other onion skinned. Would this accomplish the 3D effect?
First 2 times I tried to watch it I got scared.... I was like 6-8

I wasn't aware anyone actually watched that movie.
