Edit: Confirmed PS4 exclusive, so no PC version from the sound of it.
It's like they made this announcement just for me to be honest, I've desperately missed there not being a compelling spider-man game. By insomniac too!
weird, graphically in some aspects looks godly and in others looks shit.
Lets wait
This is the best chance we've ever had at having a Spider-Man game that's actually really polished and good.

But I liked spider-man 2's game
I hope this is Marvel's attempt to do a Batman Arkham-esque game, so we can get a bunch of different Spider-Man skins.
I really hope they get the web slinging right in this. It was so good in Spider-Man 2, I don't understand how they've managed to fuck it up every time after that.
But I liked spider-man 2's game
Spider-Man 2 had great swinging, but everything else was jank as fuck, though it was still enjoyable despite/because of its jankness.

Did you never play the PS1 Spiderman games?
Huh! You call that a punch?

Ps4 exclusive can fuck off man.
Did you never play the PS1 Spiderman games?
Those haven't aged that well. Plus, I meant a game that's open world and has good swinging.
Ps4 exclusive can fuck off man.
It's a pretty terrible decision to make a game like this exclusive to any one platform, so I agree. I really want to like this, but if it's really a PS4 exclusive that's going to be supremely disappointing.
Ps4 exclusive can fuck off man.
Maybe when Sony let Marvel use Spiderman in Avengers, they asked for exclusive rights for a video game in return.
[editline]14th June 2016[/editline]
Also it's insomniacgames, so they were more likely to make an exclusive.
that costume is shit
i don't understand the white, if the white bits were black it would be fine, but because they're white they clash immensely
I'm going to miss wise-ass Bruce Campbell narrating and giving tutorials.
Keep in mind nowadays, "exclusive" means its either on the PS4 and PC or the XBone and PC, for the most part.
Theres quite a large number of PC Sony games too, and with the Xbone games being available on PC, it'd be stupid for Sony not to release it on PC.
Next Generation of Spiderman Game Meme's to be confirmed at 0:18
Insomniac Games develops this? No fucking way. This is going to be amazing. Such a shame I won't buy a PS4.
i hope there's pizza missions

The only Insomniac game that was released on PC was a $2 puzzle game, and Song of the Deep which is coming this year. As much as I'd like to see Spiderman on PC, it'll be very unlikely due to Insomniac being a Sony First Party Studio.

Why?
SONY has done this before, with a superhero license to boot, DC Universe Online, if im not mistaken.
They have their own (nearly dead and damn near useless) PC platform thing, SOE, remember? They release through steam and all but it still exists.
In any event, it would just be a dumb move when Microsoft is doing it, if they didnt.

It is a PS4 exclusive if Sony pays for the development, and from the looks they do. You won't see Bloodborne on PC because they funded. This game will pretty much stay an exclusive for PS4.

They've also got 3 VR games coming on PC and they've previously released Fuse and Sunset Overdrive on Xbox consoles

Because Insomniac is an independent developer. They are not a Sony studio like Naughty Dog. Their games are being released for the platforms the publishers like Microsoft and Sony rightfully fund.

Again, "Exclusive" nowadays just means its on one console, not that its not on PC.

Also the Japanese have a bit of a weird aversion to PC gaming (changing in recent times), so not doing a PC port shouldnt be a surprise.

Sony no longer owns SOE. But this is a console seller, it'll be highly unlikely for them to bring it to PC when they worked so hard to get the rights to the Spiderman games in the first place.

Okay, and?
Rocksteady and Netherrealm didnt port the PC versions of the Arkham games and Injustice/MKX, WB got another studio to do it (for better or worse)
Well, if memory serves right anyway.

Dont kill my dreams dammit.
[editline]14th June 2016[/editline]
Also they never lost the rights to the Spider-Man games im pretty sure, considering they were still doing Movie games when the MCU picked up steam and literally dropped all merch and games for X-Men and the FF.
Okay, and?
Which means, if Sony completely funds the game on their own and pays Insomniac to develop it (what they do), it will stay on PS4 forever. Like Bloodborne for example.
Honestly some of you surprise me, if you want it that bad you'd just buy a PS4 for it, its not like its a bad console.
