Why would I be kidding? The UK had an IMF bailout in the 70s and was labelled 'the sick man of Europe' - manufacturing was in decline and she reversed that. Manufacturing output even stagnated under Labour between 1997-2010, whereas it increased under Thatcher. She also took a firm stance against the unions which were going on strike to demand pay increases of up to 50% in some cases - the country was a mess.
I personally call for a national day of partying throughout the commonwealth.

Decimated our Heavy Industries costing millions of jobs - at the height of her power there were 3 million unemployed.
Destroyed the Trade Unions, robbing the working man of the right to stand up for himself
Turned this country from a place where people lived in strong communities with a sense of culture and heritage into a capitalist hellhole where everyone is laden with debt, morals and tradition has gone to the dogs and noone gives a sh*t about each other and only cares about credit cards and consumer crap.
Maggie is the reason this country is in such a mess today.
