Brazillian cops chase down smugglers' plane and rams into it's wings to prevent escape

Ten police officers worked in the operation with the seized plane to be sold at a later date.
Local police officer Edson Geraldo de Souza said: "Besides the price received for the plane, it is important to know that the aircraft can no longer be used for smuggling or trafficking drugs."
Mr de Souza added the £250 damage caused to the car's windscreen outweighed the potential consequences of letting the plane take off.

I'm a huge gun-nut and I hate when the media mislabels stuff in stories but right now, in this circumstance you're knit-picking. There is no way we could know and it's irrelevant.

For all intent and purposes it's correct to call it an automatic rifle.
