[quote]Academy Award moxie is in the air with the upcoming Quentin Tarantino project, Django Unchained. In fact, the film has shot to the top of every radar in the business with the announcement that Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx (Ray) has agreed to star in the film with three-time Academy Award-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio (The Aviator). They will join the already cast Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds).
TheWrap has unwrapped the scoop on the upcoming Tarantino project, which revolves around a former slave named Django (Foxx). The film follows a western bounty hunter (Waltz) with a nasty penchant for leaving his hunts dead who purchases Django in an effort to find a particular bounty. When the two bond, Django convinces the bounty hunter to rescue his wife from an evil plantation owner named Candie (DiCaprio).
How can you rightfully go wrong here? One of the very best directors in Tarantino and a cast sprinkled with awards and nominations is something that will certainly draw a crowd and critical buzz. The Weinstein Company will tackle the efforts in the States, with Sony Pictures unleashing the film overseas.

Didn't think you'd be a Tarantino fan after that spit in the movie section, Rong. :psyboom:
Also those are nice choices. Di Caprio in a Tarantino movie will be interesting.
Christoph Waltz! YES!
So how long do you think Quentins cameo is gonna be before he is killed off?
Aw man, I was hoping Will Smith would take the role.
But Jamie Foxx is good too.

I hate to say it because Will is awesome, but Jamie Foxx would be the better actor.
I can't really see Will Smith in a Tarantino film, it would just be weird.
Will Smith doesn't sound right swearing either. :smith:
Sounds interesting! Maybe I'll actually see this Tarantino film in theaters.
funny, i just watched the first volume of kill bill for the first time today (it was awesome)
I don't like Jamie Foxx, But I love DiCaprio and Waltz.
I haven't seen a Tarantino film I didn't like so, high hopes.
Leonardo DiCaprio as an evil plantation owner? This I gotta see. Also because Tarantino films are amazing by default.
Waltz will probably steal the show again. It'll be interesting to hear him with an American, western accent.
I love how Tarantino always makes violence "beautiful."
can't wait. loved every tarantino movie i've seen.
oh my god
a tarantino western, this sounds amazing
Christoph Waltz?

Watch "Ray" and "Collateral".
Then come back here and say that you like Jamie Foxx. :smug:
I'm not a fan of Jamie Foxx. He's just so generic.
I like Waltz and DiCaprio though.
Fuck yes.
I love Tarantino and I fucking loved Django.
