I wish universe sandbox wasn't so unbelievably shit
it crashes every 10 minutes on a high end PC, even though its doing stuff it SHOULD be able to handle. for a "Universe" sandbox it has limited content too.

I say it every time. Eurotruck 2 is so boring on the outside when you look at it, but it's fun as shit for some inexplicable reason when you play it. Definitely worth $10. It's really well made, as well
The atmosphere of Euro Truck is amazing. Its the only game that allows me to roleplay as a drunk eastern European truck driver blasting 80s synth pop.

There are also pretty cool mods for the game that add the rest of Europe and North Africa if you start to feel like you have been everywhere and a bunch of new shipping cargo.
The current 2 big players in euro truck map mods are TruckSim 5 (adds aforementioned southern areas) and ProMods 1.62 (adds northern areas, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, etc) with the consensus being TSM has more content but ProMod is of higher quality. Both have plans to expand bigger and both are patching their mods to fit the upcoming Venice update and Scandinavian DLC. The ProMod team collaborate with the Developers at SCS.
Naturally the other big shot is the Multiplayer mod.
