Cops said Kennedy had taken them on a bizarre seven-block foot chase — with bystanders sprinting behind trying to film the unfolding drama on mobile phones.
They said Kennedy, who was high on drugs and had been arrested ten times previously, lunged at them with the knife. They said they tried to calm him down and then attempted to stop him with SIX bursts of pepper spray. When that failed they gunned him down.

Think about this for a second; how would a British newspaper be the first to report on something that not only happened in [I]America[/I], but in [B]Times Square[/B] for petes sake.
