"I'm in to soundtracks for mostly anything. Any worthwhile soundtracks noting?" - t h e
Yes, but they'd be more meaningful when seeing the movie first also.
The Godfather, Good, The Bad and The Ugly, The Conversation, There Will Be Blood, Pulp Fiction.
Pulp fiction ahs an amazing sountrack

Can't go wrong with Patti Smith who's known as the godmother of punk, though she doesn't sound that punk today she did have quite an influence on it.

Very right about Patti Smith, she's amazing. I need to look more into Kate Bush's work, things just fly out of my head sometimes. Thanks.
Mass Effect's soundtrack is pretty good.

I know The White Stripes, and Wolfmother. Haven't given them much of a listen.
And I've never head of The National.
Take a look at Absofacto, Silversun Pickups, Mason Proper, and The Decemberists.
modest mouse
I suggest it to anyone
This is a Long drive is the best album of the modern era, it's the unrecognized dark side of the moon of this generation.
If you could just milk it for everything
I've said what I'd said and you know what I mean
But I still can't focus on anything

I started playing music because of that song 3 years ago. It means more to me than anything in art. If I ever make a song that will be as important to one person as Dramamine was important to me, I'll consider myself a succesful musician.

I find that album pretty meh compared to The Moon and Antarctica or the Lonesome Crowded West.
Those are both great albums but Dramamine, Beachside Property and Head South are on Longest Drive
They are my 3 favourite albums though from Modest Mouse

For Yes and Pink Floyd, try Rush, Jethro Tull and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
For King Crimson, try Hypnos 69:

Those are great songs but the other albums have the most coolness density.
everything they produce is unhealthy doses of great.

Maybe check out the Flaming Lips which are sort of a psychedelic alternative band. The Soft Bulletin is a good album to check out.
