what the fuck
Somebody should swap his cables for dollar store ones, see if he realises
Somebody should swap his cables for dollar store ones, see if he realises
If his ears suck he sure wouldn't hear the difference. I'm sure I would because every time I see someone with those Beats headphones I ask them why they are good. They say the sound is good while I highly disagree. Except for that it's compact, nothing else to say about that. If you care about your ears you also want to have the best for your ears. That guy probably overdid it.

If only he was an electrical engineer, he could've saved so much money...
It would be funny if he only played shitty black metal in 240p on it
It would be funny if he only played shitty black metal in 240p on it
Never new sound had a resolution. Holy crap.
He elevated his cables... why?
It would be funny if he only played shitty black metal in 240p on it
And my camera can take pictures at 320 Kbps!
Never new sound had a resolution. Holy crap.
Indeed. Also called Bit Depth.
In digital audio, bit depth describes the number of bits of information recorded for each sample. Bit depth directly corresponds to the resolution of each sample in a set of digital audio data. Common examples of bit depth include CD quality audio, which is recorded at 16 bits, and DVD-Audio, which can support up to 24-bit audio.
[editline]15th March 2013[/editline]
And my camera can take pictures at 320 Kbps!
be sure to save your picture in .flac for the best quality [editline]15th March 2013[/editline]
It would be funny if he only played shitty black metal in 240p on it
(psst, change that to say 64 kbps)
He elevated his cables... why?
Only a plebian would let their cables touch the ground!
He elevated his cables... why?
Because it is most likely the audio signal going through those wires, he elevates them to reduce vibrations and static buildup

i read that as pedophile and was pretty confused
It would be funny if he only played shitty black metal in 240p on it
You must mean 128kbps or similar low quality audio formats
Because it is most likely the audio signal going through those wires, he elevates them to reduce vibrations and static buildup
So its to reduce interference... Huh. It just looks... odd. but hey if it prevents quality degradation, cool.
Because it is most likely the audio signal going through those wires, he elevates them to reduce vibrations and static buildup
I cant see how that would change much, the vibration still carries up the supports
such a waste of money.
I cant see how that would change much, the vibration still carries up the supports
Well its the only thing I can think of [editline]15th March 2013[/editline]
such a waste of money.
Sure It's a lot of money, but whether he gets his value from it isnt clear in this video. I don't know what 6moon is, but it seems to allow him to use his gear effectively.
Would love to spin a solid DNB set on that system. Maybe after adding some Funktion 1 subs though. Its a very nice expensive sound system but he focused more and the midrange and vocal ranges than sub ranges, which is required for any new age electronic music. Still, for the kind of music this man listens to, he has one great system.
Quick googling says that cables do indeed build static which negatively affects quality... elevating them like that provides a barrier between the cable and the floor, greatly reducing static build up. I've also read instances where people have taken ground laid wire that has sat there for some time, disconnected it, slapped it against their leg, and reconnected it, and recorded a noticeable and superior sound quality afterwards.
*whistles* That's a damned impressive setup. Not too familiar with the brand though; can anyone here verify their quality? Most of my experience is with Vifa, Martin-Logan, and Adam Audio.
Somebody should swap his cables for dollar store ones, see if he realises
Well given that the other equipment is as high end as it is, I'm pretty sure he would. [editline]15th March 2013[/editline]
Never new sound had a resolution. Holy crap.
He's referring to youtube. Youtube changes the audio bitrate and quality depending on the resolution chosen. 240p = 96kbps 360p = 128kbps 480p = 128kbps 720p = 192kbps 1080p = 192kbps Older 240, 360, and 480p videos encoded via the old Sorenson H.263 system run 64kbps, 96kbps, and 128kbps respectively.

Feel like some of this stuff is a massive circle jerk. However that did sound pretty amazing at the end.
He has a $300000 that plays strictly analog records? How the hell is he not seeing the loss of actual audio fidelity there (As opposed to entirely imperceptible noise from cables)?
will it blend?
