I just found out that my friend's mother commited suicide on Christmas Eve.
I knew my friend's mother well and I was at his home at least once a month, so I knew his family very well.
I didn't see any problems in his family, they all looked happy and nice.
People said that her husband came home from his job and he didn't see her anywhere. He found out that the keys to basement are gone. He went to check it out, if she's in basement, but it was locked. He shouted, if someone can hear him, but there was no response. In panic, he called the police and they broke the door out and they found her with a rope around her neck, which was attached to the ceiling.
I did saw her stealing some stuff in stores and having some difficulties with talking to me, but I didn't know she went this far with this.
And she did it on Christmas Eve. Probably the worst day you can commit a suicide. Funeral is in three days: that's 1 day before New year. How unlucky is that?
I'm still kinda shocked. It's just so wierd, that a person you know, will never ever talk to you again and you will never see it again. Just....so wierd felling....
If someone dies in a car accident, that's one thing, but if someone takes his life on purpose and you actually KNOW this person, that's a totally different thing.
Did anyone else know a person that commited suicide?
I feel terrified right now...

Christmas can also be very depressing depending on which way you're looking at it. Everybody else is happy except you/loss of money on gifts/etc.

And I forgot to say that her funeral is in 3 days. 1 days before New year. How unlucky is that?
the mother's an asshole seriously, now christmas is gonna be all doom and gloom for the rest of her family

My dad is a warden in a block of flats where our local council seems to house a whole variety of mentally ill people, drug addicts and alcoholics. He's found many a person hanging from their ceiling or laying dead on the floor having overdosed.
One of my friends fathers shot himself on Christmas day when my friend was about 7 or 8.
Suicide at this time of the year is terrible. It must leave so many unanswered questions.

My friend's father killed him self like a week after my friends birthday. It was really weird at the time. I didn't know him too well, I think I was 10 at the time. My friend was 10 or 11 too

I always thought the whole Christmas is depressing idea a little hyped. But if you've had a bad year, Christmas just really sucks.

It's even creepier if a family is doing well and by the looks of it, nothing is wrong. But one day, mother does a suicide and you have no idea why. Was she drugged, was she so depressed, what happened, why did she do it, was it because of his family, because of his friends, was she actually killed by another person,....
So many question, that will never be answered.

People need to understand that committing suicide is not the way to solve everything.
