hits like those in the nfl would result in lifetime bans.
hits like those in the nfl would result in lifetime bans.
the last few years there have been huge problems with big hits and especially elbows in the NHL because a lot of players have been getting concussions. not sure why but NHL is getting a fuck load more violent which i honestly don't think i like
Why do people hit each other in hockey? I never really understood it compared to other sports.
Why do people hit each other in hockey?
because it's a good way to neutralize someone from getting to the puck, passing the puck, shooting, getting into the shooting lane, boosts your teams moral while sapping the other teams, etc. etc.
I love hockey, and I love a good hit in hockey, but when I hear people that just watch hockey for the hits it sucks because hockey is a really great and talented sport to have it lowered to such fans.
Hockey is one of my favorite sports to watch. It's a shame it's so underrated though. I think most people are turned off of it because they think that it's all about the hits and fighting but it isn't. Hockey players are some of the most talented athletes of any professional sport. Seeing what they can do while flying around on ice is ridiculous. I also grew up with it though so I'm biased.

Lemieux was poetry in motion, the best ever I think. Gretzky was good, but Lemieux was the shit. I can't believe how little coverage the NHL lockout is getting, I barely hear about it anymore. At least the AHL isn't on lockout, AHL games are always fun, so much easier and cheaper to just sit down and relax at one of those games. [editline]26th October 2012[/editline] Might have to go to one of those this weekend.
you think it's getting little coverage? you must live in the US then
My friend keeps showing me this clip. This seems like the place to post it.
