Grad-type rocket explodes near apartment building in coastal city just after 8:30 A.M., causing no casualties but some damage to structure and parked cars; two mortar shells hit western Negev hours later.
http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/israel-to-lodge-complaint-with-un-about-gaza-rocket-attack-on-ashkelon-1.304966 Where were you when that happened, Starpluck?
Any news on injuries, or was it an empty area?
Well it most likely wasn't Hamas, they're trying to stop this.
Any news on injuries, or was it an empty area?
It was a densely populated area, but no casualties or severe injuries. All it was is structural damage along with a few cars.
Israel to lodge complaint with UN about it.
Well fuck me sideways and colour me surprised! Israel is actually being smart for once.
Where were you when that happened, Starpluck?
I honestly thought Starpluck changed his avatar, then I saw that it was actually you who posted.
It's most likely an independent organization or something like that that launched the rockets. Now, Israel lodging a complaint to the U.N? I hope they (U.N) don't do shit, Israel defied them again today (Specifically United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701) by violating Lebanon's airspace. [editline]08:36PM[/editline] I was right.
The Israeli military believes that Hamas was not responsible for the Grad attack and that the Islamist organization which controls the Gaza Strip is not interested in escalating tensions in the area, Army Radio reported.

Hamas has said it is trying to stop militants from firing at Israel, but smaller groups have continued the attacks.
Israel lodging a complaint to the UN lol
Where were you when Israel dropped 100 megaton bombs in Gaza city, killing 1400 civilians, 700 of whom were women and kids? We can do this all day long.
-snip-

-automerge broke again-
I read the title, and thought that Paul Gascoigne had done something really stupid. [editline]18:40[/editline] Oh yeah, I can see that happening.

We can do this all day long.
I'm sorry but that's a bomb larger than both bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima combined. No, in fact better than that. THAT'S DOUBLE WHAT THE FUCKING TSAR BOMBA WAS!!

Russia Violates US and UK airspace all the time. Scramble jets and escort them out of your airspace. If they don't comply then shoot them down. It's not going to be hard to prove that they were on your side of the line as the aircraft wreckage will remain inside your country. The UN can't and won't do jack shit about it. And Israel is filing a complaint with the UN? For what? Israel doesn't think it was even carried out by the Gazan government. Just go talk to the Gazan government and work directly with them. Filing a complaint with the UN only strains relations and doesn't accomplish anything. The UN is such a good idea in concept, but I'm not sure in the end it actually does more good than harm. EDIT: LOL my bad. Lebanon doesn't have any jets capable of intercepting Israeli aircraft. They have a grand total of FOUR fighter jets from the 1950's. They complain to the UN because they CAN'T defend their airspace. Now it makes more sense.
Eating, my bad. I apologize for not being at the scene reporting live.
You scan news sites for anything new about Israel, and then immediately post about it, so it's kinda funny seeing that when it's about Israel being attacked I don't see any post about it, even hours after it happens.
Any news on injuries, or was it an empty area?
It doesn't matter if there is no injury, when there is a rocket alert you have to stop anything and go to a safe room, which is pretty frustrating.
I'm not a fucking Live Israeli Feed, so stop fucking depending on me if you want Israeli news. I didn't even notice this and I wouldn't even of posted it, if I did.
If there is a rocket attack on israel people go lul israel deserved it lul.
no one has posted anything like that in this thread. you're just such a bad poster
Lebanon?! But they-- Stole the words out of my mouth.
How to tell a country probably needs to spend a little more on its airforce: :P I can't decide if that is awesome or just sad. (For the less militarily inclined, you generally don't strap bombs to helicopters)
"You didn't even post it even hours after it happened". Are you fucking serious? Automerge broken yet again.
If there is a rocket attack on israel people go lul israel deserved it lul.
persecution complex no one has said or implied that
How to tell a country probably needs to spend a little more on its airforce: :P I can't decide if that is awesome or just sad. How do they release them (specifically the under one) cut a piece of duct tape?
This happens almost every day. Even a video:

This conflict is so full of shit. The Israelis will probably answer with more violence, which will piss off Hamas and the others which will result in more violence and so on and so on. It's a vicious cycle. And all because of really, really ridiculous bullshit like religion and nationality. :smith:
I thought those where missiles at first, until I saw the one under it. How do they release them (specifically the under one) cut a piece of duct tape?
Haha, from the looks of things I'm not sure that is too far off. I'm actually more curious how they target them. I tend to doubt they are GPS guided. Normally bombers using free fall bombs have to be specifically designed with bomb sights in mind. The UH-1 was obviously not originally a bomber. So how do they know what they are gonna hit?
