They're not bad movies, people's differing opinions on Toby as Spidey nowadays aside. Spider-Man 3 is kind of a stinker unless you really like the crazy dumb moments like the hyped up, dancing emo-haircut Peter.

People always come back to that SM3 scene but I thought it was pretty clever. The symbiote suit is heightening his sense of confidence, but Peter is just a nerd so all it does is make him into an even cringier nerd. If anything, I disliked the movie because it had too much clumped together that could've easily been two evenly-paced movies instead

I liked raimi's fights a lot better than the new ones.
It probably helps that even stuff like the train scene in 2 used quite a surprising amount of practical effects

i don't think so ,it was all cg ,well not all of the shots... there was actually particle effects in most of the shots

The train scene in Spiderman 2 mixed CGI with Real shots, sometimes the characters were CGI but the train real. Sometimes it was the other way around. And other times the background would be CG. I saw the making of when I had it on DVD, it still hold up.
