In the weeks that followed, the plane was reassembled in a hangar from parts retrieved from the sea. But the cause of the crash was not identified immediately, and after authorities said the crash was caused by static electricity ignited fuel fumes, many skeptics cast doubt on the theory. Adding to the controversy were multiple eyewitness accounts of a fireball going up from the ground and hitting the plane before it went down, accounts which the FBI dismissed at the time.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/06/18/twa-flight-800-investigators-break-silence-in-new-documentary-claim-original/
It's great that they shot down that conspiracy theory before it became popular, but what did TWA flight 800 do?

Its another Loose Change ( not near as bad though ) type film that points at abnormalities as proof of conspiracy
Adding to the controversy were multiple eyewitness accounts of a fireball going up from the ground and hitting the plane before it went down, accounts which the FBI dismissed at the time.
So did anyone think of getting their video camera out?
So did anyone think of getting their video camera out?
They could have, but it makes a more interesting tale if they don't.
So did anyone think of getting their video camera out?
for 90% of conspiracy theories these days theres always the guy no one notices who takes out a camera, or in todays standards a low quality one, and films it.
but this isn't a new theory, it's been around for a while
Watch the video?
(I was making a joke about the thread title) [sub][sub](it was bad)[/sub][/sub]
So did anyone think of getting their video camera out?
It was at around eight in the afternoon so it was dusk or dark, adding to that 90s quality home video you wouldn't be seeing much of anything.
Shot down by government missiles... If this were the case, then why? They get bored or something?
Shot down by government missiles... If this were the case, then why?
Shot down by government missiles... If this were the case, then why? They get bored or something?
I think the idea is that a navy cruiser in the area (though out of range of the aircraft) shot it down by accident.
Our neighbor worked for TWA up until they folded. He did alot during his time, specializing in flying, training, and being a mechanic. He knew 747's like the back of his hand. The day it happened he even said, jet fuel does not explode, it will only burn. The only way something like that could happen is due to a bomb or missile. He was one freaking smart guy with anything aviation related.

My father worked on 747s during this time. He remembers when it happened, and how they briefed his crew over the explosion, saying that it was the fuel tank that caused the explosion. He said that with the way the fuel tanks were designed, there was no way for them to explode in the way that it happened. I don't know if anyone's saying that the government intentionally shot it down.
So did anyone think of getting their video camera out?
in '96, not likely

I think the real conspiracy is a bunch of guys jumping on the conspiratard bandwagon, and making money off of a solved air crash.

Unless you mean it was shot down by accident?
is it a conspiracy theory if the actual people that investigated are coming forth saying they had to lie?
A weird christian customer at Walmart gave me a thing about this saying that they all went to hell for not believing in god :v:
is it a conspiracy theory if the actual people that investigated are coming forth saying they had to lie?
I believe it was a few low clearance people, out of the literal thousands that would have had to be involved.
Its another Loose Change ( not near as bad though ) type film that points at abnormalities as proof of conspiracy
they're quick to hop on abnormalities as "proof of conspiracy, omg illuminati reptiles", but i think people are just as quick to dismiss inconsistencies in stories. I mean, people are absolutely in denial of the idea of the possibility that something is fishy, and that the story being told isn't the complete truth.
