The humble Ford Focus has beaten the McLaren F1 and Bugatti Veyron to be named the greatest car of the past 25 years. I bet the McLaren isn't even good for a good lay like the Focus.
I had one of these, I wouldn't get an older model one though, mainly because they're easy to break into. My brother in law unlocked it with the key to his ford truck, just stuck in there, jiggled it around for about 10 seconds and bam, unlocked it. Sames goes with most older fords though haha.
Personally I prefer the McLaren 12C but I guess whatever floats your boat.
In my substantial car ownership history (which includes a Ford Focus and also nothing else) I can indeed confirm this is the case.
Can't forget the 2011 Ford Focus RS500 though. [t]http://www.thetorquereport.com/2011_ford_focus_rs500_9.jpg[/t]
idk, my family accord has taken a massive beating and has only had like minor repairs since getting it in 1995.

Not sure why anyone would think a McLaren F1 or Bugatti Veyron would win, they aren't good cars. A good car isn't one that goes fast, that means nothing to most people.
I drive a 2007 Ford Focus. :v:

Was wondering why it won, then see the magazine is a UK one. Here in the US, older Ford Focuses are known as being fairly bad. Pretty much every Focus ive seen here had serious engine/transmission issues at fairly low miles
I smell somethings rigged, never has a American built car been good.
It's not Amercan built, it's mostly German design

The Veyron as a toy, as an engineering feat is great, but that is not the same thing as being a good car.
My Focus needed a new gearbox at about 80000 miles. I love mine, for all its faults it's a great car to drive especially on twisty roads

Every tryhard gangster here has a stupidly modified RS500 with horrible looking spoilers and useless upgrades. It looks silly.

I have a 2000 Focus. It's awful. Has so much wrong with it. Just recently the passenger side door became permenantly locked. You can't unlock it from the inside manual button, the inside electronic button, using the key on the outside, or the electronic key unlocker either. Nothing.
:suicide:

Jeremy Clarkson also said he owned a Y reg (year 2000) Focus and it's the best car he's owned
to be fair, the past 25 years includes the 90s and 80s. we dont talk about cars from the 90s and 80s
to be fair, the past 25 years includes the 90s and 80s. we dont talk about cars from the 90s and 80s
What, the 80s and 90s were the decades of the hot hatch

i hate the ford focus because they kept being assholes in 18 wheels of steel.
What, the 80s and 90s were the decades of the hot hatch
Yeah, and it was also the decade of underpowered shitboxes that would rust out from the inside. (Also, the first hot hatch came out in 1972. RWD hatchback with a V8 engine)
Do you still own a red one? I remember you (or someone else) posting a red one in pictures of you a few years ago
Yes, I still have it.
