Interesting short documentary about gun control and how African Americans are being discriminated against in regards to owning guns.

People should stop bitching about it. The more they bitch about it, the more the problem will get worse.
It's stupid people are even allowed to own guns like they do in America IMO
You know what, if a person is going to rob a store they're going to get an ak47 or a Mac 10 off the black market whether or not a country has gun restriction laws.
I recently had a collapsible metal baton confiscated from me by a cop, when I was talking to them I found out they are a prohibited here in Canada and that you can get jail time for carrying one.
They didn't charge me or anything because I had no idea it was illegal.
I had bought it a few months earlier from a flea market to use in self defence should I be in danger.
I was also surprised at the fact at how easy it was to obtain it, not like I was going to rob someone or anything, it's just that the guy was selling it to people out in the open market like ice cream and I bet the people buying them had no idea it was a banned weapon either.
My point being it's alot easier for a criminal to obtain a wepon than apply for a permit.
All law regulations and bans do is make it fustrating and impossible for law abiding people to obtain them.
So, filling out if your white, Mexican, Asian, black, etc. on a federal form is a way to keep minorities down...?

Why would they even have that on there?

Agreed, why should the government care what ethnicity you are?
Why would they even have that on there?
No idea, but I really doubt it's there to keep black people away from guns like the documentary says.

It's an American thing. We think it's pretty stupid that you guys aren't allowed to own guns.
But if we don't have guns we can't stop Obama's socialist regime!

In Canada, for a specific crime (Theft, Murder and Possession etc) you need to have both Actus Reus and Mens Rea. Actus Reus is the act of committing the crime, which in your case is having the weapon. But the Mens Rea is the intent on breaking the law and in your case, you had no idea that you were breaking the law.

You're a fucking idiot.

A cheap, easy to obtain piece of shit gun - the concern being that these mass-produced low-grade guns proliferate in low income areas and increase crime.

Don't forget that gun crime in Canada is way lower per capita than in the USA. Same with most other gun-restricting countries.
I hope the op know this is a very biased documentary
Guns are bad mkay.

You do have a point that this is biased. But you could say that Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine is biased also. In short, all arguments are biased to some degree.
