FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) — Sgt. 1st Class Greg Robinson has become the first amputee to complete Army air assault school, a course so grueling his prosthetic leg broke twice over the 10 days spent rappelling down ropes, navigating obstacle courses and completing long road marches.
Each year thousands of soldiers are physically and mentally tested to their limits at the Fort Campbell school. Instructors said Robinson accomplished everything other participants did and trainers cut him no slack even though he lost part of his right leg in a 2006 deployment to Afghanistan.
The magic of duct tape.
Pretty fucking hardcore when your prosthetic leg breaks (twice) and you don't.
A buddy of mine was doing air assault with him, felt like such a pussy because he fell out.
Hes the pilot of the future, once robotic legs comes every pilot is gonna have them.
Wait this isnt about pilots still this man is a badass.
DO they allow amputees back into combat jobs even if they are functional?

I believe so.
They should award him with a tougher prosthetic leg so it doesn't break under the weight of his own awesomeness.

I'm sure he could spare some steel off of his massive balls to build an unbreakable leg for him
someday it'll be just like starfox
Can we please see the leg?
Wow. This makes me want to do better when it is my turn to go through the school. It is pretty inspiring.

You have to basically be waived by the fucking president and shit, prove that you're still 100% combat capable and all this shit. Basically, it's a rare as fuck sight. Though if you're missing a few fingers it's okay.
This gives new meaning to the trope "handicapped badass".

He's an inspiration that makes me feel bad about myself. The guy is a badass. He even has good one liners. Perhaps he'll get a movie featuring Mel Gibson after he performs an amazing mission.
I hope they paid for his broken legs despite budget cuts.
Why doesn't U.S invent jetpack prosthetics? That way amputees could be the OP unit in U.S army.
