Saw the Hubble documentary in Imax couple months ago.. this looks waaaay cooler!
When Can I start throwing money at my tv?
A spiritual successor to Carl Sagan's Cosmos? This will be great!
This trailer made me feel really good for some reason
oh man they brought back the spaceship of the imagination
my hype level is through the roof
Fuck yeah, I loved the original cosmos
It would seem someone on the production team is a fan of John Murphy.
My meat planet is so hard
Oh god I've waited so long to see more info on this.
And now there's a trailer.
Please give me this nowww.
"video is private"
Woah it worked fine just a few minutes ago.
Maybe they released it online before they meant to.
For anyone who doens't know what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos:_A_Space-Time_Odyssey
To think that seth macfarlane and FOX, of all networks, would collaborate to bring education to the masses.

I have a feeling somehow seth will put in a poop joke somewhere or comparing the big bang to a cosmic fart
I heard about this a few months ago and have ecstatic ever since. Once I saw the trailer, I literally almost cheered out loud. Fuck yes.
I have a feeling somehow seth will put in a poop joke somewhere or comparing the big bang to a cosmic fart
Nah, Seth McFarlane was actually a huge fan of Carl Sagan, and even managed to provide funds to help donate all of Sagan's papers to the Library of Congress.
In a statement, MacFarlane said, "The work of Carl Sagan has been a profound influence in my life, and the life of every individual who recognizes the importance of humanity's ongoing commitment to the exploration of our universe .... The continuance of our journey outward into space should always occupy some part of our collective attention, regardless of whatever Snooki did last week."
Damnit why is it private :(
national geographic has their own version

[sp]the difference is the narration [/sp]
I listen to Neil DeGrasse Tyson's podcast all the time at work. I am super excited for this.
I'm uploading it to liveleak atm.
I'll post the new link when it's available.
The production quality looks amazing.
I have spent many a night falling asleep to the soothing voice of Carl Sagan in the original Cosmos, and I can't wait to do the same with Tyson.
Im a bigger fan of Michio Kaku, but Tyson should do it justice.

No Kaku for this please. He's enjoyable but way too out there. Cosmos should be well-established science.
It would seem someone on the production team is a fan of John Murphy.
It appears that Fox owns the rights to both 'Sunshine' and '28 Days Later', so either, they are just rehashing some music, or maybe they got John Murphy in on this.
If there's anyone I could entrust this series to, it's Neil.
I'm sure he'll be able to keep that same feel that Cosmos had.
